This 3A Girls State Meet will end close to 630p!!!! If you dont like it, voice your concerns and encourage that proposed new schedule to pass (1A +2A on Thursday, 3A on Friday morning). Unfortunately 3A gets the least amount of rest & cant make dinner plans #GTFSTATE26

As this Friday 2A/3A prelims "projects" to be miserable weather wise (rainy) in Charleston, im still salty we've heard no updates about this since the Advisory Committee discussed. I assume it would've been easy to make happen back in Oct. We have TO GET THIS DONE FOR 2027!

Let’s do this, and while we’re at it, make any performance from a meet with FAT and a wind gauge during the season capable of qualifying an athlete for the State Championship.

@OlneyTigerTrack yes!!!!! I would love to see new aggressive (to some) proposals. Top 9 verified (including level pits & proper gauge placements), wind legal, gain an automatic spot to state prelims. Too many what ifs so maybe won't pass. Sectional qualifiying system stays the same.

A retweet of an intriguing IHSA true team championship proposal where little work is needed. Championship season is where most complaining occurs (true team champ, fill lanes, bad sectional hosts/sites/management) many don't care once June 1st hits 2027 & do nothing

@COACHJEDKENNEDY @CoachFortney Love the idea but it doesn’t fit with our calendar. 🏀 and 🏈 want to start summer practice the Monday after our state meet. They would rebel if they lost a week. There’s a way to do a team AND individual meet but that breaks with tradition.

I’m biased, but everyone should agree that Edwardsville is the track capital of Illinois. Since 2012, they have won 3 state titles and placed second 4 times. Yesterday, Edwardville won their conference meet by 45 points, beat IL #3 Belleville East by 52, and beat IL #4 Belleville West by 65 points. Yes, unranked Edwardsville dominated two of the top four teams in Illinois. (Also beat East St. Louis by 93.) Sometimes too much attention goes to the teams that have a couple phenoms, not the best TEAMS. Want to use Edwardsville as a template to improve your program? ⚡️Hire the best staff in the state and keep them together. ⚡️Dominate the technique events: hurdles, LJ, TJ, HJ, PV, DT, SP (requires a terrific staff). ⚡️Dominate at the F/S level. Wasn't a fan of Wednesday sectionals but after last night, its a good feeling knowing its done & sitting back watching other sectionals. I definitely thought a select few would go on Wed when option arose...those whole state is on Wed now

Hey, now we're talking thanks for posting!!! we need more people saying this in the Fall and early winter too. Unfortunately 2 wks of complaining statewide is about to happen for sectionals ( weather, wind, management, etc) then we'll go quiet until May 2027
