@DaveTimbs @NolanAnalyst Sure thing, but here's the most important question: aside from you, who cares? 🤣
English

@919_nerd @NolanAnalyst Everyone who has ever had to deal with her. E.g. Me

Christopher Nolan praises Charlize Theron’s performance as Calypso in THE ODYSSEY:
“Charlize fully embraced the high-wire act we wanted to pull off with this character.”
“It’s a character who, throughout the history of literature and art, has been interpreted in so many contradictory ways, and trying to square the circle of that character required somebody of Charlize’s intellect and empathetic ability.”

English

@NolanAnalyst Empathy is the one thing Theron is known to lack. She's a psycho.
English

@NolanAnalyst She'll probably try to trans him while he's stuck on the island with her.
English

@demo1059980 @60Minutes One film doesn't constitute rewriting the odyssey, let alone history lmao 🤡
English

@60Minutes The only imagination I see, is rewriting history using different races to pacify the Academy.
lmao 🤡
English

@60Minutes Imagine a world where we made a movie portraying the most influential and beautiful people of sub-Saharan Africa and cast white people.

@dftaylorcomics @corleonecapital @TheCinesthetic Only to the older crowd, people in their 20s and 30s don't know who Charles Manson is the same way people in their 50s and 60s do
English

@corleonecapital @TheCinesthetic Charles Manson is still one of the most notorious sociopaths, with multiple movies based on the Tate murders even in the last decade. It was and remains HUGE.
English

@corleonecapital @TheCinesthetic In a culture 50 years removed and where True Crime is a common mainstream Hobby, Charles Manson is kind of small potatoes now
English

@TheCinesthetic The movie has grown on me but tbh, I’m pretty sure half the audience had no fucking idea what was happening in this scene.
The Manson m**ders weren’t a big enough cultural event to anchor a movie 50 years after the fact. My wife is mid 40s and super smart, and was lost.
English

@ThePanic16 @TheCinesthetic Clearly you don't know anything about Quentin Tarantino lmao...
English

That movie was shit on celluloid. A liberal’s fever dream. A fictional rewriting of history to paint themselves as on the other side of that trade when in fact, they were aligned with the hippies and the hairy legged women and the bearded fruit juice drinkers. Tarantino has the mind of a child.
English

@FireDumbPeople @TheCinesthetic It can absolutely be both... the character obviously had a real life counterpart... seems like you don't understand two things can be true at once... a square is also a rectangle
English

@TheCinesthetic a "real life" manson family member? You sure about that? you cant mix movie and reality, its either the character or the real life version, cant be both.
English

@LastCanadaGoose @TheCinesthetic Completely agree, this movie finally feels like a film and not just a Tarantino movie
English

@TheCinesthetic Still pound for pound Tarantino’s best film imho
English

@PaulDeathwish @TheCinesthetic Yeah that's kind of the point, and absolutely what makes it is finest film... he wasn't making a biopic, he was making alternate history fantasy fulfillment
English

@TheCinesthetic This could have been his finest film. But then he fucked it up with an Inglorious Basterds ending.
English

@DannySki7 @TheCinesthetic The movie's fine, this post did a real shit job describing the scene tho
English

@TheCinesthetic Well, the scene lacks tension. There's no usual Tarantinonian build up. The viewer sees the alpha character compared to the high whino and there's little doubt of the outcome. It's actually the problem with the whole movie.
English

@HighDesertLocks @TheCinesthetic That is absolutely one way to demonstrate how much you don't get it lmao
English

@TheCinesthetic This plot is so full of fkn holes it could be a sieve. Hollywood fantasy that only a bunch of children IN Hollywood loved. It ranks right up there with "From Dusk till Dawn" for unwatchable nonsense.
Pulp Fiction
Jacki Brown
Reservoir Dogs
QT's only watchable movies.
English

@RealMJStewart @ATRightMovies He probably didn't catch any shit, "spoilers" as a catch phrase idea weren't really invented until the 90s with films like The Crying Game and The Sixth Sense. Back in the 70s and 80s films used to take out two page spreads laying out the plot of the movie
English

@ATRightMovies That was the best Batman movie. No question and he got a lot of shit before it hit the cinemas
English

@ATRightMovies Some of those are small screen jokers, champ.
Movie = big screen
TV = small screen

🚨🇺🇸 MINNESOTA HOUSE INTRODUCES IMPEACHMENT RESOLUTION AGAINST TIM WALZ: FOUR ARTICLES FOR CONCEALING FRAUD
It's official. The paperwork is filed.
The Minnesota House introduced a resolution to impeach Governor Tim Walz on four articles:
Article I: Knowingly concealing widespread fraud despite repeated warnings and audits.
Article II: Interfering with lawful oversight and investigations into state agency fraud.
Article III: Prioritizing political narratives over disclosing known program failures.
Article IV: Failing to faithfully execute laws protecting public funds, allowing safeguards to be ignored or weakened.
Walz already announced he won't seek a third term, citing the "significant time required to address ongoing investigations."
Basically, he saw this coming and tried to get ahead of it.
It didn't work.
The House Oversight Committee has demanded Walz appear for a public hearing on February 10th.
Federal investigators are crawling all over Minnesota.
Walz deployed the National Guard against ICE.
He declared a moment of silence for a woman who attacked federal agents.
He ignored billions in theft for years.
Now he gets to answer for it.

@MarioNawfal I can't tell if you're trying too hard or not hard enough, either way you're part of the problem.
