Resident Evil Code Veronica remake is rumored to release in 2027.
I have no doubt it will be the beginning of decades of complaining because “Code Veronica remake cut *blank*.”
I’m not advocating for cuts, but this is a new game, not the same game. Both will have their place.

The only reason resident evil is popular enough to get new games every year or two is because not every modern gamer wants to play a ps1 game to get into a series. Getting mad at that fact is a waste of time. You either get well made, faithful remakes or you get no Resident Evil.
