So Atiku, David Mark, Aregbesola and a host of entrenched Nigerian politicians lured Peter Obi into the ADC coalition just to exploit his massive grassroots influence, use his popularity to market the party nationwide, then eventually hand the presidential ticket to Atiku while boxing Obi into a corner and stopping him from contesting under another platform. The biggest question now is: how did Peter Obi uncover the entire game plan just in time before it was too late?

If someone wants to hurt me, should I simply respect their choice to do so? Policies kill. When Buhari mindlessly rendered the old naira untenable, people literally died because there was a cash shortage and they could not pay hospital bills. Politics is about life and death. Tinubu negotiates with terrorists. I heard they took tons of pupils from a school in Ondo a couple of days ago. Would you have the effrontery to tell the parents of such children to “respect your political choice” when the man you’re campaigning for has implicitly contributed to them losing a child? Those of you who support Tinubu should know that we are not politicians like you. We are national pragmatists. We know policies will affect our lives. So, if your political choice threatens my self-preservation, it is only rational self-defence for me to oppose you on that opinion. And with all civility, humility, wisdom, and vociferous resolve, we will oppose such opinions.

I support Peter Obi because he is a thinker. And when a thinker also has willpower, such a person becomes unstoppable. When he said he would be on the ballot in 2027, they downplayed his ability to ensure that. They are deceived by the sound of his voice and ignored him. They thought they could box him into ADC. They refused to register his political party and frustrated his efforts for reconciliation in the Labor party. Yet he rises. For those that knew Anambra’s politics before he became the governor and how he was able to silence the Uba brothers and other political gatekeepers without sacrificing the state’s treasury to assuage their egos then you know the man get coconut head. The only political person that has been able to profile him very well is Ayo Fayose. Others kept underestimating him. They think you become an international billionaire by being stupid.
