Natives of Chechnya, Ingushetia and Dagestan are not allowed on Georgian territory. A huge number of Chechens and Dagestanis have piled up at the border crossing point. Russians, Ossetians and Circassians are allowed through calmly.

What we are witnessing is men of eastern Caucasus facing echo of russian internal political mess of 90s if u get what i mean. Hope u get the idea now.

It's physically impossible to call everybody for an individual check. Usually one person in one hundred is choosen based on some criteria or by chance

@wardirect @gurji_i @rajdianos I do believe you that it is your experience, but we are having a unique situation here. My cousin, ossetian, crossed the border last week with no issues, and absolutely all of the Dagestanis, Chechens and Ingush guys with him in the queue were called in.

@rajdianos I suspect the main reason why they haven't closed the borders yet is so that all the privileged children of the bureaucratic apparatus can make it out of Russia saftely.

@rajdianos Those were the exact words and the exact string that the latter was pulling. An ordinary family. A very high-ranking military official. If that one family received a call like that, i am sure that there were more ones manipulated this way.

@rajdianos I know a family who after a news about death of their elder son this past spring received a call from a high-ranking military, which was trying to convince the younger son "to revenge" the elder one by signing a contract to serve in Ukraine as a mercenary.

The authorities of Vladikavkaz decided to cancel the concert and fireworks in honor of City Day. In April, when Ossetia was constantly receiving coffins with young Ossetians, a large-scale patriotic concert was held in the center of Vladikavkaz.
