Well, well, well. Look who’s mail in voting. So, it’s good enough for you, but not millions of others? 🤔

A federal judge is allowing the release of deposition videos of two former DOGE staffers, ruling that the risk of "embarrassment and reputational harm" is not enough to overcome the public interest in the videos. abcnews.link/P1xYZ26

@kaitlancollins Do you enjoy spending your entire career trying to bring down Trump? It’s failed, btw. That’s not your job. Damn, I miss the good old days where people read the news instead of editorialized.

President Trump today on Iran: — "You never like to say too early you won. We won. We won the bet in the first hour. It was over. But we won." — "We've got to finish the job, right?" — "The main thing is we have to win this thing, win it quickly, but win it...It's just a question of when, when do we stop?"

The VFX team behind The Abyss (1989) spent six months creating this scene. It became the first CGI water simulation in film history and later paved the way for the T-1000 effect in Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991).

Netflix’ new “AI tool” sounds like a pretty easy way for executives to change just about anything a director, cast, and crew has turned in. Without the logistical and financial barrier of reassembling cast, rehiring the director, and gathering a crew to change anything, the sky’s the limit with how they will “adjust” the work now. Lol. Gross.

@cb_swartz_art @spyderdobro They’re not “doing it now too,” though. It’s not even remotely the same process or experience. And we haven’t touched on the fact that the only reason AI can do any of this is by training on stolen creative works and all of our public and private data.

@ACE_imagination @spyderdobro Isn't it great that people that can't leave home can do it now too? Less barriers = more art and creative things produced....People can still make films traditionally too...Human made will become a premium feature. Like with furniture now, assuming people can tell the difference.

I am quite exhausted by the A.I. stans. I make movies. I love creatives. I am inspired by them. Storytelling is still here. You get out there, you make your movie. Getting a camera is expensive. So is a laptop and paying for a monthly A.I. program (yep, they're not free)

@cb_swartz_art @spyderdobro I very much understand the process. It’s the fact that it can all be done alone, in a dark room, with a computer, that I find to be completely uninteresting and boring. That’s fine for the writing. But then you GO somewhere, with others, and physically make something.

@ACE_imagination @spyderdobro Like I said...You don't understand the process. Slot machine days are over(unless it's major action scenes with multiple characters). You can have full control if you want it, and take the time to learn how to achieve it...most do not.

@cb_swartz_art @spyderdobro Honestly? No. It’s not. Because that one person isn’t “making” a film. They’re feeding words into a slot machine and hoping for the best. They are generating pixels. That alone is not filmmaking.

@ACE_imagination @spyderdobro How about one person being able to make a film from original old character sketches for under $5k that looks like it costs Hundreds of thousands or millions of dollars...Is that inspiring?

@cb_swartz_art @spyderdobro Huh. Silly me thinking that the creative, collaborative PROCESS not only means something, but that it is EVERYTHING. “It’s expensive so farm it out to the machines” is the least inspiring thing I’ve ever heard.

@spyderdobro Not per minute....Under $5k for an entire film 80-90mins.....thought it was obvious due to context, ...guess not. Maybe 7K if it has a lot of action

@Codeforged_One @TheMG3D It’s funny, this childish attitude you have about a tool you had no part in creating, and with which you foolishly attempt to mock those who do have the talent and skills to create —without requiring a machine to vomit results for them.

Still living in your little bubble of delusions I see. You lost the battle. Look at your comments here. AI is here, generative AI is growing every day. And in the meantime, you're over here crying, because you know you're at best a mediocre artist who traces others art and calls it his own. And there's literally NO way you can compete with generative AI. You're cooked. As a artist, you're burnt, fucked, useless and in the way. But do keep crying about generative AI. Your incessant tantrums are entertaining.

@KerryMSoileau @gervaisclips Theists do have a much greater pull towards tyranny, given they claim without evidence to possess the Truth of reality, and work constantly to impose their outdated worldview on the rest of us.

@ACE_imagination @gervaisclips So which is it, you said before that tyranny is a human problem. Now you're trying to split hairs and imagine some additional factor (belief/nonbelief) that makes religious humans more tyrannical than atheist humans?

@KerryMSoileau @gervaisclips Theism implies a belief system. Atheism does not. Atheism is simply a rejection of theism. 100 atheists may believe in 100 different things, so you may have moral atheists and immoral atheists, but it’s not possible, really, to have an “atheist tyranny.”

@ACE_imagination @gervaisclips You need to tell that to the atheists who interpret religious tyrannies as the result of religion, and not the result of political power misused by humans presenting themselves as religious authorities.

@gervaisclips What history does tell us is that when atheists get political power over people, tyranny results. Is that a coincidence, or an outcome of atheism?

@cinematicfever @spyderdobro @StoryScience_ And it will certainly improve, rapidly, over time. And it will continue to produce variations of text, images and sound literally stolen from other artists, not to mention all of our public and private data, all used to train the models, primarily to enrich already rich men.

@ACE_imagination @spyderdobro @StoryScience_ Okay, fine. Thanks for the honesty. And I don’t think anyone should ever feel forced to adopt a way of making things. But I will point out that the level of control someone has over it is more expansive than you believe.

I think A.I. will probably lead to some great advancements in the field of medicine, vehicle safety, etc. But it has no place in the arts. Period. It makes no sense. Art is only valuable because it is created by human beings with lives lived, some tragic, some beautiful.
