@JDomino79 @NickAube78373 @TheFourthPeriod If he's untouchable then the coach goes. He can't be untouchable playing 4th line minutes with a coach that has done nothing but hinder his development all year. Idgaf whether Mich or tocc goes, but one of them has to. He is not a 3rd line checker.

@NHLRumourReport Out of all the NHL kids, only 2 players got big pay days: Utah Cooley $10M NJ L.Hughes $9M If Bedard wants 8 years, it won't surpass $10M & he risks losing $ long term. 5 years to 26 so $8.5M x5yr. Next contract could be $12-18M x7yr depending on how he develops.

@Ywolok I actually feel bad for Luchanko. Young kid ahead of his years in so many ways, used by Torts as an FU to Coots and management and then got screwed out of going to college bc of when regulations were changed. He deserves some grace and runway to develop more.

I have been trying to think of a recent comp for Jett Luchanko...it hasn't been easy. However, the Panthers Anton Frondell, is an interesting comp. Both two-way, playmakers. Both were criticized for not shooting enough as prospects. Luchanko still has Elite skating, unteachable

Since Matvei Michkov has moved to Right Wing. He had the most points, more than any other Flyer Michkov finished with 5g,15a (20P) when he moved back to Right Wing on March 7 Michkov doesn't buckle under pressure, he relishes it. Imagine that folks #Flyers

Michkov is a very skilled hockey player and has been much better in general since the break but the Flyers current lines are constructed very well Maybe you could argue he should be on PP1 but I still think Flyers biggest PP issue is lack of dman who has proven they can QB PP1

Michkov has 14 points in his last 14 games - in the biggest games of the season. Since the Olympic break, only Cates (20) has scored more points than Michkov (18). Imagine if Michkov had played on RW all season. And yet, he’s still getting only 3rd line minutes and isn’t on PP1.

It's very funny that Yzerman could have had Ristolainen instead of Faulk for a similar if not identical price. He didn't do it, so that team kept Risto, handed him 20+ mins a night for the next month, & is still very much alive in the playoff race while DET is already out.

This is exactly right. You have to give Briere huge credit for the trade he didn't make when everyone was screaming for it. Ristolainen looks at home on that top unit and is logging huge minutes for us While Red Wings took Faulk instead of Risto at the TDL and are eliminated.
