Sorry (I know the word isn't enough given the impact of my actions) Cardano folks, it was me who endangered the network with my careless action yesterday evening. It started off as a "let's see if I can reproduce the bad transaction" personal challenge and then I was dumb enough

@MaxGains99 I'm still mad at myself fading my cousin who told me ADA wasnt going anywhere back when Solana was 15$. He told me to buy Solana and I arrogantly told him Solana had an on off switch. I shouldve listened to him.

For full clarity, I was a Cardano maxi for many years but I am no longer. I've sold the majority of my ADA around 65c. And I'll keep the last remaining ADA staked, along with my CNTs like Snek, Hosky and Strike in the wallet. I'll check back in several years if it's worth anything.

@intuitionismRus can you please shed some more light on what exactly an over-decentralized network means from the mathematical perspective, with possibly some sources/formulas/additional reading? Thanks 🙏

We had a bit of tough luck with multi-leader slots in the epoch that ended earlier today, as you can see from the screenshot three of the blocks were minted in same slot as at least one other pool but the cointoss wasn't in our favour ⚔️ - however still a solid 10 blocks accounted for 💪 For new epoch #595, the leadership slot lottery assigned AAA a total of 15 block creation opportunities 🎲🎲

@sabihgrimm @IntersectMBO That's only true if DReps are inactive. If they're still active (voted once in last few months) low participation results in a default no which blocks everything (nothing passes).

Why would it be hard to vote 'no', if you provide a reasonable explanation behind your vote? Or do we want the ecosystem to turn into everybody votes 'yes' on everything so we can all hold hands and sing happy Cardano treasury songs 🤷 I mean, from what I've observed so far we are already slowly heading in that direction unfortunately. Alas in the large scheme of things, only a small number of people actually voice their concerns about things like concentration of voting power, the majority are happy to just go with the flow without rocking the boat and just paying attention to price charts

I agree with that much smaller budget would be acceptable for more DReps. I won't be specific about the DRep's voting tendency with Catalyst connections, but if you are Catalyst proposer, it will be hard to vote a No for GA by the big DReps or big influencer. I simply mean that we need more decentralised delegations.

The constitutional committee member “Atlantic Council @CardanoAtlantic”, who has consistently delivered high-quality judgments since the days of the Interim Constitution Committee, has announced their retirement from the committee, effective November 25. One of the major reasons they cited is the high likelihood that the current budget proposal for compensating constitutional committee members will be rejected. Regarding this Governance Action (GA), I myself received compensation during the interim period, and it was genuinely helpful. Because I personally benefited from it, I had even considered abstaining from the vote. Nevertheless, I did not anticipate this many “No” votes. The work of a constitutional committee member is extremely demanding. Members are required to maintain fairness and neutrality in their actions and statements within the community. On top of that, voting itself requires physical resources such as node operations. From the perspective of long-term sustainability of the ecosystem, I believe a minimum level of compensation is necessary—whether to support their activities directly or to prevent loss of motivation. The CAC chose to announce their retirement precisely at the moment when the budget proposal was expected to be rejected. By doing so, they made a deliberate decision to highlight the sustainability risks within Cardano’s governance. We should respect their decision and take it very seriously. I would like to express my sincere appreciation and respect to all the CAC members for their dedication and accurate constitutional judgments so far. I also want the entire ecosystem to recognize and internalize the seriousness of Cardano’s current situation. The Constitutional Committee functions as a guardrail to prevent DReps and GA proposers from acting outside constitutional boundaries. If the quality of the committee declines due to a lack of willing and qualified members, GAs that violate the constitution will become easier to pass, creating significant risks for ecosystem governance. We are already seeing a structure emerging in which DReps with concentrated delegations may come to dominate Catalyst as well—potentially making it difficult for individual DReps to exercise independent judgment. The only mechanism that can stop the excessive centralization of DRep power is the Constitutional Committee. However, with the rejection of the committee’s budget, we now have a troubling precedent: DReps interfering with the functioning of the Constitutional Committee. If Cardano’s governance collapses, the likelihood of ADA experiencing a major price crash becomes extremely high. I urge all ADA holders to reconsider whether their current delegation choices are contributing to an unhealthy concentration of power. If things continue as they are, ADA may never reach a new ATH.

The battle against delegator apathy, indifference and lack of education must continue ⚔️ a bit disappointing to see us sounding so defeatist so (relatively) early on

In the epoch that ended this morning, AAA managed 11 of 12 possible blocks, the only one that didn't survive was a multi-leader slot battle against one of IOG's private stake pools 🤬. For the new epoch (#593) the leadership slot lottery assigned us a rather generous 14 block creation opportunities 🤞

A missed chance to help small community pools that can barely produce blocks. All under the disguise of “to maintain fairness and decentralization in the Cardano network.” To me, these folks couldn’t care less about decentralization, not here and not in governance. I’ve got zero sympathy for them.
