@cookmandy @Dunkirk_1940 They absolutely do. My local police force has a voluntary excess of £750,000. They have insurance to cover things like deaths, serous damage to infrastructure, etc. They’d happily pay the £50,000 it costs to buy a new car without claiming it on insurance.

London Ambulance Service replacing four destroyed ambulances and the NHS paying for them to be permanently replaced. This of course is the right and proper thing to do but to whoever was responsible it costs around £100,000 for a fully kitted out A&E ambulance.

@Ragnarok_Loki83 @danzone2018 @glaisian So does Hatzollah. They’re generally regarded as a very, very good emergency ambulance service. They work in primarily Jewish communities but will help anyone regardless of race/faith within the area they cover.

@cookmandy @Dunkirk_1940 Almost certainly have a higher excess than the value of the ambulances. It’s normal for ambulance services and police forces to have excesses £500,000 or above, and they just cover anything below that without claiming it on insurance.

@Dunkirk_1940 Genuine question. Do you have any idea why their insurance would not cover the cost?

@352drak603 @ax_angelo People say that, but if you’re not attractive enough, a huge proportion of women will never let you get close enough to demonstrate what’s underneath, therefore it doesn’t matter.

@ax_angelo Maybe I’m describing myself…and how I react to people. Beauty is truly, only skin deep, it’s what’s underneath that matters to me.

@ultras_antifaa Reminder that in 2020, Antifa took over part of a neighbourhood in Seattle, immediately shot multiple unarmed black men including a child, blocked police (and therefore ambulances) from responding, and then looted the crime scene.

@BobFromAccounts No they don't. I own a bicycle I paid for my bicycle and that's it. With my car. I pay £600pa road tax, plus fuel duty everytime I fill up. My car pays a lot more for the roads than my £700 bicycle ever would.

Hey drivers! Fun fact: these cyclists on their daily commute, who probably don't even own a car, pay as much towards the roads, the upkeep of roads, and the building of roads as drivers do. Just so we're clear

So there was passive resistance. Until The officer put hands on him? The victim responded by pushing the officers hands away. Which then resulted in the officer striking the man in the face which can result in serious bodily injury or death(as seen in this video). And you just admitted it. This escalated in SECONDS. It went from a welfare check, to killing someone in SECONDS. You think this would happen with a reasonable officer? No. No it wouldn’t.

JUST IN: Man Fatally Hits Head After Being Punched by Baltimore County Police Officer The Maryland Attorney General has released footage showing the February 16 confrontation between a Baltimore County police officer and 56-year-old Samuel ‘Big Sam’ Brown. A welfare check was requested after a concerned citizen noticed a vehicle idling at a traffic light for an extended time. The footage begins with Brown speaking to the officer and later shows Brown exiting his vehicle. Brown then swipes at the officer’s hand while being instructed to return to his car. After a second swipe, the officer punches Brown, who falls and strikes his head. He was transported to a hospital, where he remained on life support for days before dying on February 27. Family and friends had pushed for the video’s release to better understand the incident. The investigation is ongoing.

@DeanTTraining He want skinny fat, he was just skinny. Being in a calorie deficit whilst already skinny makes it hard to put on muscle. That honestly doesn’t look amazing for 8 months of progress because there simply weren’t enough calories going in. Eating maintenance would’ve done better.

This is what happens when you’re skinny fat and you recomp PROPERLY He looks SO MUCH better “That was 8 months…April-December. Small deficit and train to failure. Also Carbmax” CRAZY to think plenty of X “coaches” would’ve put him in a calorie surplus…

@loverofcrocss @iamcobbina If you're finding 7.5kg easy but can't do the next weight up, try doing other exercises that target the same muscles but feel just barely doable at 12.5kg. Sounds like you're not making any progress with it at the moment.

@JadesTheDog @Satanicpizza1 That’s not true. A 16 year old can legally have sex with almost anyone in the UK. There’s certain exceptions (e.g people in positions of trust) but age isn’t an issue.

@Satanicpizza1 technically? but if you’re 4 years older than the minor (who is 16/17) you have committed a crime still, that law just exists to stop kids just turning 18 from being charged with statutory rape because their partner is still 16/17.

This guy gets pulled over on a highway. The police officer tells him she is going to write him a warning. He is filming her, and something about his behavior does not sit right with her. She asks him to step out of the vehicle for her own safety. He questions why and claims she’s taking his money, but she says he is only getting a warning. So who is right? Should he step out because he was asked, or is there reason for him to ask why? If he’s just getting a warning, should she write it and send him on his way? Is there a grey area on how people should act during stops like this? If it’s me, I’m stepping out of the vehicle.

@Glitch_TV1 @RochesterSpirit @sumsul6789 @SusieM414141 Just to clarify @Glitch_TV1 If the question was “Did this person break a Penn. state/local law”, then that decision would apply at a local level because that law only exists there. But in this case, the precedent applied everywhere. It was more of a constitutional question.

@Glitch_TV1 @RochesterSpirit @sumsul6789 @SusieM414141 That isn’t how that works at all, I’m not sure why you think that. All Supreme Court cases are titled “Prosecutor v. Defendant”, with the state of Penn. being the prosecutor. The result sets case law which applies nationally. That’s how it’s always worked. You’re not correct.
