@getmethat1_ @LarissaFernand India has just 700 bn USD in its coffers. There is almost no value of Indian rupee outside India. So rich are rich because a large number of poor, low and middle income earners exist who work for them through complex mechanisms.

@getmethat1_ @LarissaFernand He is scaring people to belive that if you leave India you will loose opportunities. Again something of the interest of rich Indians. Imagine hypothetically if 1.49 billion Indians were to dissappear and go to another planet how will these Ultra rich remain rich. They will perish

He is Ketan Agarwal, and she is Siya Goyal. • They got engaged in December last year and were supposed to get married this year. • They went to visit Lohagad Fort, where Ketan fell from the fort. • Police found that Siya Goyal and her lover pushed Ketan from Lohagad Fort. • Ketan is the brother of accused in Pune’s famous Porsche accident case. People are calling it karma.

No billionaire or politician throws their kid into JEE/NEET suicide factories. That's exclusive middle-class torture. Rich kids build startups, travel the world and network. We middle-class idiots mortgage houses so our children can compete with 25 lakh others for 8k seats and a ₹50k salary. Peak self-destruction.

China is 10,000 times better than India. Today our group of trip clients and friends went to a BBQ dinner in Guangzhou, China (a big restaurant with 100+ tables) where at least 500 people were dining. We went in two cars. All arrived and sat down to eat. Suddenly a man came bringing an iPhone forgotten in the car. I am sure he had driven a few kilometers away after dropping us and then searched for our table at the far end of the restaurant. His serious efforts to locate us and hand it over 🫡 He refused to take even a single yuan as a gift. Hats off to his good deed and kindness. In India, once I forgot a laptop bag in Delhi. The cab guy demanded 2,000 rupees to return it. #guangzhou #barbeque #bbqguangzhou #wintrackinc #iphonereturns #lostphonereturned

I know a girl who has done MBBS. She charges Rs 250 per patient. On an average 20 patients visit her daily. She earns Rs 250 × 20 × 30 = Rs 1.5 lakh/month.

Exactly… most degrees are worthless and higher education is a scam… and the increasing realisation will lead to closure of the not so good universities with some of them becoming fly by night operators. Go for backpacking than doing any useless white collar degree… you will learn more and spend less. PS : An increase in acceptance rate is the outcome as standards will be diluted.

Syracuse announced a financial deficit this week after missing their enrollment target. They cite demographics + geopolitics, but the answer is much simpler: There are 5.7k higher ed institutions in the US, charging way too much for something that is worth less than ever

Just saw HDFC Life stock price at Rs 580 Last time I saw the price it was above Rs 700 Was completely off my radar after giving up on the insurance sector long time back. Was supposed to be a sector seen as wealth generator as penetration increased. However never performed.

Excellent policy by RBI.. Removing LTCG & withholding tax on govt securities & move on hedging Currency for FCNR B deposits will get us good inflows However outflow is predominantly in equity .. if we lose another $25-30 Bn more in FPI selling , it will offset any gains. Request re looking equity taxation as well!

Anyone from India, who missed investing in AI: here is your final chance. There are a few stocks like Msft, Meta. They still trade at sensible valuations. Add sensibly. And, manage your positions. I don't know whether you will make money almost immediately or not. Maybe not. But, if you zoom out and look at it over the next 3-4 years, these stocks will come out better than most Indian firms. Why? these are tech, participate in AI, doing real addition to productivity, clean corporate balance sheet. If you can't even buy these companies when they exist at a discount, please quit equity investing. Simply buy gold + land and chill. No one will tell you all this as plainly as I am. Fund managers will keep saying: sip, sip, and all BS! But, if you stop for a minute and think: what are quality businesses? Both these firms would qualify. And, retail investors (who want to buy & hold) should invest in such businesses.

@Akshat_World Buying and keeping physical gold at home or in bank lockers carry significant risks. SGBs held through maturity by initial buyer have same taxation as earlier. New rules apply to transfers.

When you have physical gold, government can't retrospectively tax it. But, when you have digital gold, government can & will tax it retrospectively. Example: SGB gold bonds. Government changed the rules. Read about it. Be smart. Own hard assets. And, balance with with growth stocks globally. Never in your life (buy 1Rs) of Indian REITs. Indian Real Estate market is one of the most corrupt out there. It is a great tool for a fund manager to make (more) money. But, as an investor, you will lose your pants. I'm here to tell you the truth. What you do with it is your call. Use your brain: analyze multiple points. And, reach your own conclusion.
Gurmeet Chadha@connectgurmeet

Financial assets - FD, Bonds ,equity , REITs, InvITa, ETFs should be encouraged over hard assets. People launder cash using hard assets whereas financial assets are bought predominantly with tax paid savings. A BIG reform shud be 10% LTCG on financial assets. Also taxation would become asset class agnostic. This will deepen bond markets , banks would also get deposits and would get us patient risk capital across equity and bonds Suggested LTCG Equity 10% after 12 months Bond, FD, other listed non equity n Hybrid instruments : 10% after 24 months. For FPIs- taxation based on residency.

Buyer beware I have pointed it out before every single tech founder keeps their own children away from screens - at home and at school. Steve Bobs. Bill Gates. Mark Zuckerberg. Jeff Bezos.Elon Musk. Same story with every one of them THEY know what the screens do to the brain, especially since they have specifically designed their products for addiction and basically lowering brain function. THAT is why for the first time we have a situation where the next generation is scoring LOWER on cognitive tests. YOU decide for your kids...and for yourself.
Big Brain Business@BigBrainBizness

Brené Brown, researcher and author, on the contradiction she keeps hearing in rooms full of tech billionaires: Her work puts her in rooms where the founders and CEOs of major tech platforms talk openly about how they think. What @BreneBrown hears there unsettles her: "So I hear someone say, 'Hey, you know, tech billionaire, what should my kids study? I'm worried for my kids… they should study coding, physics,' and then five minutes later, as if that answer didn't happen, someone will say, 'What do you attribute your success to?' I mean deeply when you think about it, and the same person will say, 'My deep reading of philosophy and the stoics.'" The contradiction is what stops her: the same people crediting philosophy and the liberal arts for their own success are telling other parents their kids should focus on coding and physics. That gap leads her to a bigger, more uncomfortable question: "I start to extrapolate from there and wonder if there is a thinking class that's emerging where they're like, 'We're going to read philosophy and we're going to read the liberal arts and we're going to study history, and the rest of you just keep scrolling. Don't worry about the big words. We'll handle all the big words for you.'" She points to Steve Jobs as an early signal of the same pattern: "It's like when they asked Steve Jobs, 'Boy, your kids must love the iPad.' Steve Jobs said, 'My kids don't have an iPad.' And then his biographer who spent time with his family said he wasn't kidding. There's no technology. At dinner, they're talking about art and history." The takeaway is simple but uncomfortable. The people building these platforms are protecting their own kids from them, and giving them books, ideas, and real conversation instead. So why are the rest of us being sold something different?

Today, I was traveling home by bus. A Muslim girl was sitting on the seat next to me. She was wearing a black burqa and was completely covered, with only her eyes visible. The heat was intense, so during our conversation, I casually asked her, "We are feeling so hot even in a T-shirt and trousers, don't you feel hot in these clothes?" She replied, "I do, but it is better than the heat of the fire of Jahannam (Hell)." Think about the level of brainwashing that makes people believe that suffering themselves in the name of religion is the right thing to do.😬
