Since the start of hostilities with Islamic Republic of Iran last weekend, we've witnessed an alarming pattern of escalating, inflammatory rhetoric from voices across the political and ideological spectrum. This rhetoric distorts reality and fuels dangerous antisemitic narratives.
It is a sad irony that an operation against the world’s largest state-sponsor of antisemitism has prompted so much antisemitism...
We call on all public figures – elected officials, political candidates, public commentators – to refrain from reckless statements, unfounded charges, and wild conspiracies that echo the ugliest chapters of history and place Jewish communities in real danger.

The recent arson attack at Beth Israel Congregation in Jackson, Mississippi, highlights the continuation of an unprecedentedly high threat environment facing Jewish communities in the U.S. and across the world. Over the past decade, synagogues and synagoguegoers in the U.S. have been targeted in numerous direct acts of violence, including arson attacks, shootings and more.
Take a look at some notable examples: adl.org/resources/arti…

On #September11, 2001, the world was forever changed. Members of Al-Qaeda perpetrated the deadliest act of terror in US history.
Our thoughts are with the families and loved ones of the nearly 3,000 people killed 24 years ago today.
May their memories forever be a blessing.

Preliminary research by the ADL Center on Extremism confirmed that writings on the guns used by the shooter during today's attack at the Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis include antisemitic and anti-Israel references; praise for mass killers across the ideological spectrum, including white supremacist, anti-Muslim and anti-government extremists; as well as other school shooters. Two notable names were Madison, Wisconsin school shooter Natalie Rupnow and Christchurch mosque shooter Brenton Tarrant.
As our latest research shows, these attacks don’t happen in a vacuum and they feed one another. Read more about the parallel online paths of two previous school shooters, including Rupnow: adl.org/pathways-youth…

Today marks 110 years since Jewish businessman Leo Frank z”l was lynched by a hate-filled mob in Georgia two years after being falsely accused and unjustly convicted of murder in a trial marred by antisemitism.
ADL was founded the same year that Leo Frank was arrested, and the trial only confirmed what the organization’s founders already knew – American Jews needed an institution that would combat antisemitism and all forms of hate.
Over the years, ADL fought to clear Frank’s name, and he was finally pardoned posthumously in 1986. May his memory forever be a blessing and may we honor his legacy by #FightingHateForGood.

In the latest problematic ICE recruitment post from the X account of the Department of Homeland Security, the phrase “Which way, American man” accompanies an image of Uncle Sam at a crossroads, with road signs pointing in one direction to “cultural decay” and “invasion” and in another direction to “homeland” and “opportunity.”
Not only does the image basically equate migrants in the U.S. with “cultural decay” and “invasion,” but also the accompanying text clearly evokes the title of early 20th century white supremacist and antisemite William Gayley Simpson’s book Which Way, Western Man? In that book, which is popular with neo-Nazis and other white supremacists, Simpson argued that Western civilization was in decline and that Blacks and Jews (as well as Asians) threatened the very existence of the white race.
A U.S. government agency should not resort to using such language and imagery for any purpose, let alone recruiting people to serve.

Our Global 100 survey shows the ratio of adults who harbor elevated levels of antisemitic attitudes in Romania jumped 8 percentage points since 2014.
Today, ADL wrote to Romanian President Nicușor Dan urging him to remove his objections to strengthening Romania’s law against the glorification of antisemitic organizations. adl.org/adl-global-100…
