As an academic I am frustrated with the journal submission process. Listing out the affiliations of my coauthors is repetitive and error-prone. To solve this I built author.link. The idea is that academics create a page with their affiliation, connect it to their ORCID, and choose a username. Academics can then share their author.link so their affiliation can be added during journal submission. author.link is a unique spin on the "link-in-bio" that allows academics to create a page listing their affiliation, bio, and links, akin to a simple personal website. It stands out from similar platforms like linktr.ee in a few key ways: 1. Authentication via ORCID: ensures credibility without additional log-in requirements. 2. ORCID-based usernames: makes it easier to recall users and link them to their academic identity. 3. Easy affiliation copying: simplifies the process of adding author information during journal submission. The site's design is basic but the tool encapsulates the functionality I've personally found helpful. For a glimpse, here's my own page: author.link/sina. If you think this tool is useful for you please give it a try. Your feedback, technical or otherwise, is invaluable. I have a bunch of additional features that l plan on implementing.

Excited to share our #Horizons article on the path to #InvisibleAI. How front-end applications (ChatGPT, Text-to-Image) are only the tip of the iceberg, the #visibleAI, of a much larger technological and societal transformation, the #InvisibleAI, where AI becomes pervasive, accepted, mundane, and unnoticed, in every aspect of our digital and even physical life. We discuss: 1. The nine #phases of invisibility, from shocking to mundane. 2. The currently-missing #capabilities needed for fuller AI integration. 3. The #implications for the workplace, education, healthcare, society, and our personal lives. 4. The #CostBenefit analysis, risks, scalability, adoption, ubiquity, and invisibility. 5. Strategies for #overcoming these challenges, including transparency, understanding, privacy, policy, re-skilling, regulatory frameworks, ethical considerations, and democratization. 6. The #FrontEnd faces and impact of a ubiquitous invisible AI in journalism, law, education, healthcare, and the workplace Our article is here: cirsd.org/en/horizons/ho… A fun and stimulating collaboration with @JohnJDAgostino for @CIRSD
