@ReviewsPossum Another lesson in how when the government gets involved to make something "more affordable" it isn't long before no one can afford it. Government has deeper pockets than anyone. Maybe we should examine other things government is making more affordable?

You know how PepsiCo lowered the price of Lays products after RFK Jr. said you can't use SNAP to buy them anymore? That's because, when they could get the government (the taxpayer) to pay for their products, they had no reason to care if they were affordable to anyone who wasn't on SNAP. Now that that's no longer the case, they have to price competitively again.
The government doesn't give people TVs for "free", and that's why they're cheap.

About the economy: conditional on regime change, they'd grow over 10% for year for decades very easily. Sanctions were a HUGE drag on their economy. Plus there will be foreign aid for reconstruction

Ouch. There are what, a dozen, maybe fifteen countries in the world that have end-to-end integrated steel economies and meaningful steel exports? Decades of painstaking industrialization under severe sanctions, wiped out in a day.
Iran will definitely be a much poorer country when this is over, no matter the outcome. People who think that Iran is categorically opposed to a ceasefire should keep this in mind; this is nothing like, e.g. Russia/Ukraine, where only Kiev would benefit from a ceasefire.
A lot of people on here are imagining some apocalyptic war until the last drop of blood, but the Iranians have every incentive not to drag this out if there's a possible deal to be made.
Of course, destroying Iran's ability to function as an industrial economy is one of the main US/Israeli goals -- one step closer to becoming a non-entity like Syria is now.
