@FanlessTech That design looks *really* clean, almost like it was waterjet cut from a solid block of granite. Would be neat af for a case, though a hollow stone box wouldn't work as a fanless heatsink (maybe stealth ventilated with holes drilled along the inside of the slots and a few fans).

BREAKING: Microsoft could drop the requirement for a Microsoft account to use Windows 11. This move is being explored internally as part of the company’s efforts to win back Windows 11 users. A future Windows 11 update will also make the OOBE (out-of-box-experience) UX "quieter and more streamlined," with fewer pages and reboots, so getting started is simpler. Microsoft has committed to faster OS performance, a reduced memory footprint, a faster File Explorer, fewer web-based UI elements in the OS, and even the ability to pause updates for as long as you want. Microsoft is also scaling back Copilot in Windows 11, and it will only add AI to places and apps where it adds real value.

@WindowsLatest As a Windows user since before Win 95, this would be the most important change for me. I just don't want an online account for my OS, even for a minute. They can make all the "AI slop" they want, as long as it's 100% optional and easily disabled/removed.

@richterich_ @ThePrimeagen Open webp in browser, right-click and copy image, paste into photo editor, save-as jpeg or whatever. Found this works for many apps that won't open webp files. Afaik, GIMP is still 100% free and natively allows opening webp files.

@xrphappy @setupspawn Don't think I've even installed a PDF reader at all, since the files open just fine inside Brave Browser. The only PDF creator software I use is PDF24, since it's free. You might be able to get it to install and work by adjusting compatibility settings (install/run as Win 7).

@SenMikeLee I'm all for voter ID, but the IDs needed for all of those things do not prove US citizenship and will not be acceptable under the SAVE Act. Only Enhanced Real ID (available in 5 states) and a US passport are acceptable, and both will cost the voter money (24A). Why lie bro?

@NCGOP Does the NC driver's license, photo ID or Real ID pictured prove US citizenship? No. Will they be acceptable forms of voter ID under the SAVE Act? No. Pure lies. Either make passports and Enhanced Real ID free and available in all 50 states or gtfo. Read the constitution.
