Man when I would work at an agency there would be client calls coming up and we had like 30 clients and I swear 20 minutes before every client call we would “sync” to make sure our reporting sounded great and then have the call. But at the same time we’d be working on 30 other clients so it was always just a run of somewhat organized chaos. And then every month someone would come up with a new ops system to streamline all of it. This was sold as “the norm”. Is that the norm?

@DylanAnder I tried the serve everyone chaos model early on. Capping loads at 6-8 clients fixed retention immediately. Your 52% margin proves the math. Small pods kill the monthly ops theatre because people actually know the accounts.

tbh, Anthropic should just pay SpaceX $10B to buy/rent its GPUs. If they had enough compute, they probably would’ve already won the AI coding war. GPU scarcity is forcing them into all these weird moves: removing Claude Code from Pro, tightening rate limits, banning 3rd party apps, and messy comms.

I chatted with @kieranklaassen, GM of @CoraComputerCora and creator of compound engineering, on @every's AI & I about where humans fit now that AI can generate high-quality code, copy, strategy, and design. His theory: We’re the bread.
Humans are indispensable at the beginning and end of every process. At the beginning, to set the frame, and at the end to provide the final polish.
This turned into a wide-ranging conversation on the future of humans and AI in coding and beyond.
We get into:
- Why AI work is a sandwich. The models are the filling, responsible for writing, testing, and iterating. Humans are the bread bookending the models: We frame the problem and judge whether the output feels right.
- The four steps behind compound engineering: Plan, work, review, and compound. The last one—where learnings feed back into the repo so agents don't repeat their mistakes—is what allows one engineer to ship like a team of five.
- Play to your strengths. Knowing when to step away and let the models execute lets you focus on areas that require human judgement, like approaching a problem from multiple angles.
This is a must-watch for anyone trying to figure out their role in the workplace now that the execution layer is largely solved.

OpenAI deserves real credit for pushing cutting-edge AI to everyone, not just rich users, first-world countries, and big companies.
That alone makes the infrastructure spend worth it. Hell, even ads on free accounts are worth tolerating if it means millions more people get access.
Anthropic is taking the opposite path, more gated, more exclusive and more elite. That is a terrible look for a technology that is supposed to benefit humanity.

One thing that I feel proud about OpenAI is seeing people actively think about distributing the benefits of AI to all of humanity. AI power shouldn't only benefit enterprises and users who are able to pay $100 monthly, which is more than the monthly salary of hundreds of millions of people. I take a lot of pride in the fact that Free and Go users around the globe are able to use Codex. I don't know what is happening with Anthropic but I hope they can revisit this

It's interesting watching the Tech Right deal with the cognitive dissonance of "maximum acceleration" colliding with Protestant work ethic.
It basically boils down to "labor and financial precarity are good... Because reasons"
When you unpack it, there is some substance. Humans without striving tend to decay. But in no way does that mean you need enforced wage slavery for striving.
Some, like Marc Andreesen, simply seem to have bought the "labor is virtuous" doxa hook line and sinker. And since he has "zero introspection" he has no clue where that value comes from.
And they are all mistaking a personal aesthetic preference for a universal human truth.
Then, on the functional/utilitarian side, the Tech Right seems to think that human involvement is necessary for things like "entropy generation" without realizing that humans produce less entropy when scrambling in survival mode.
So, to simplify, there's the individualistic view ie "labor is good for the human animal" argument, which is defensible. But modern wage slavery is "good for the human animal" in the same way that prison meets your social needs.
Then there's the macro view ie "enforced precarity causes more prosperity and progress because creativity" (or something along those lines).
But that second opinion utterly fails to realize that most people who were Great Men of the past has zero precarity. Let's just take Charles Darwin for instance. Never needed to work a day in his life because he was gentry. In fact, he was chronically ill, a condition that would have killed him and prevented his work.. However, the fact that he has ample financial security meant that he could spend weeks resting when needed, and decades working on his theory of evolution.
There is zero evidence that precarity boosts creativity or "entropy generation"
Eccentricity (high entropy signals) require financial security.
