I am a graduate of U of M Nursing School. This is disturbing, yet not surprising. Like so many Minnesota institutions, they have abandoned basic principles and traded them for toxic empathy. I have not donated to this university and will not in the future. My husband is a civil engineering graduate with a masters, both from the U of M. His company had supported a scholarship at the Institute of Technology. When the administration cancelled a speaking engagement for Ben Shapiro, he made sure that they defunded the scholarship. He let the U of M know that their lack of respect for the First Amendment was the reason. The last place you will find respectful debate or diversity of thought is now our universities.

I'm excited to head to the Twins' home opener today. I've loved baseball and the #MNTwins for my entire life, and I'm not going to let cheap owners take that away. I can absolutely respect those who feel spurned and no longer want to support the team. What I can't respect are those who tell other fans how they should feel or what they should do. It's an individual decision for each fan to make. Like everyone else, I'm extremely disappointed in the decisions the Pohlads have made since the 2023 playoffs. In an ideal world, they'd sell the team to someone more committed to spending what it takes to win (or bump payroll back up themselves). With that said, I'll be a regular at Target Field this year because it brings me joy, win or lose, and I want to support the players on the field. Let's go get a W today.
