Winners!🏅🏆 This year was the 12th Annual Ashington Gardens Competition, organised by Ashington Town Council. Central Primary School won Best Garden within Commercial Property following our creation of the Enchanted Garden at the Lower Site. Amazing! Well done to all involved 😁

Today was the grand opening of the Enchanted Garden at Central Lower Site. The children have been fully involved in the process right from the planning stages and are thoroughly looking forward to exploring the hidden treasures within.

Great blog from @HuntingEnglish Pondering this very same issue this morning. Outside of the vocabulary rich curriculum, and with students conversing more with each other than with a wide range of adults, #literacy and the #vocabgap have taken on even greater significance.
