This kind of rhetoric must be categorically rejected and corrected. @RepFine, Muslims do not seek the destruction of anyone. We unequivocally reject violence, hatred and calls for destruction against any group. Islam teaches that peace, justice and compassion are the true paths to security and coexistence. The Holy Quran states: “Whosoever killed a person—unless it be for killing a person or for creating disorder in the land—it shall be as if he had killed all mankind; and whoso saved a life, it shall be as if he had saved the life of all mankind.” (5:33) Your call for destruction is hateful, reckless and fundamentally at odds with the values this country stands for: justice, due process and the dignity of every human being. When an elected official declares destruction the answer, they are not protecting lives. They are normalizing the logic of endless war and erasing the humanity of millions of innocent people. This rhetoric does not make anyone safer. It fuels fear, legitimizes atrocities and corrodes the moral foundations of a democratic society built on the rule of law and human dignity. Islam upholds the sanctity of life. America claims to do the same. Leaders must be held to that standard.

The Burtonsville Day Celebration is an annual community festival that brings together the diverse residents of Burtonsville. Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Maryland Joined the parade today and hosted two booths to spread the true teachings of Islam and answer questions.

This past Thursday on 9/11, the Baitur Rahman Mosque in Silver Spring, MD, hosted its annual blood drive in collaboration with the @RedCross. We thank those who donated blood and we thank Montgomery County Councilmember, @CMKristinMink, who sacrificed time to attend the event.

I had the immense honor to host the 5th annual @IRFSummit “In Solidarity with the Persecuted” event for at U.S. Capitol Hill, w/ representatives of 8 persecuted faith communities—Uyghur, Rohingya, Falun Gong, Shia Muslims, Yazidis, Ahmadi Muslims, Jewish & Christian— each speaking for another persecuted group in a powerful display of unity.
