@Tesco just purchased some Tesco ripen-at-home bananas. In Spar. Is there a business connection here?

Early results are 90% using actual results (ie SEO) over ads (PPC). I suspect this just shows how well disguised many of the sponsored results are - so people think they're actual results. As if this % were the case Google wouldn't be making that much money!

Today's Poll: When you use a search engine (eg Google) do you typically... - Click the 1ST DECENT RESULT even if it's sponsored (ie a paid for advert) - Avoid the ads, scroll past to the ACTUAL results What's CLOSEST to your situation?

@RoyalMailHelp …contd. the drop-off box that the posties use. It would be good to know if this is policy? If not, a reminder to the local team that customers are not happy. We received a bundle today (rubber banded); last time was last Thursday (same) and the thurs before that

@RoyalMail why does our mail delivery come (in most cases) only once per week- in our case on a Thursday? On a good week we get a second delivery, but the bulk (and it’s usually bulk) comes on a Thursday. This is an established pattern.

@RoyalMailHelp Not sure what benefit there is (to me) of providing this data. It’s not unique to me- it’s normalised sufficiently that there is a degree of acceptance. I’m on Braxfield road- around 1/2 mile from the sorting office and 100 yards from….

@AMNlanark Hi Anne-Marie, I'm not quite sure why that would be - perhaps one of the machines used to be at a station down that way. ^DB

@ScotRail- question: why does a train ticket purchased in the station office in lanark for a trip to Glasgow show as “Ardrossan South Beach” on my credit card app?

@British_Airways @DGandyOfficial Hmmm, last time I responded to BA’s invitation to DM with contact information, I was contacted by a scammer, so I wouldn’t recommend that. Wouldn’t it be helpful if they answered the phone?

@patrick_kidd I’m probably more surprised at the picture of Joe Jackson of “is she really going out with him?,” fame- who will turn 70 tomorrow…. Strong suspicion that the picture shows Michael Jackson’s father.

Surprised to discover from the birthdays column that Ian McDiarmid is only 80, which means he was in his thirties when he first played the Emperor in Return of the Jedi. Odder than Clive Dunn as Corporal Jones and Stephanie Cole in an old folks home in Waiting for God at 48
