A liberator's presence in global spaces is not always submission, sometimes it is strategy, visibility, and the reclaiming of our narrative. The struggle for African liberation has never been confined to geography, but driven by consciousness, unity, and purpose. As Kwame Nkrumah taught us, the independence of Africa lies in the mind and action of its people, not in isolation, but in strength.
Dr. Miguna Miguna@MigunaMiguna

The wrong place to start and pose for images. Washington DC is the headquarters of imperialism, genocide, war crimes and human rights violations. No legitimate Pan-African or Freedom Fighter takes pride in the that citadel of slavery and savagery.

I am deeply concerned about @HEBobiwine who appears to have been abducted by Museveni regime agents last night and seemingly hasn’t been seen since. I call for his immediate release. This Ugandan election is now utterly farcical. How any democratic government can recognize the Museveni regime in these circumstances is beyond me. It is time democrats the world over drew a line regarding this type of conduct . If Nations seek recognition and benefits based on a claim they are democratic, then they must indeed be democratic, in both word and deed.

Eh, this one calls himself a ‘cleanup strategist’! Dirty hustlers 😂😂😂 should be the name Anyway, he's ageing 😭 age is catching up with him, but the heart gets even colder! Selling soul for peanuts in the name of strategy! 😂😂😂, it’s pure old-man desperation.
Fello@felleroh

@regesa This old fool is on rampage claiming how Bobi is sponsored by rwabogo though he can't prove it and together with his new found romance with this homo their are all out advising how he would've boycotted the election though they provide no alternative either.😂

Thank you, Kenyan Patriot! It is a CORONATION! Your solidarity, pressure, and support fuel our fight for a #NewUganda. We are not alone. Together, someday, we shall be free . 🇺🇬
Dr. Miguna Miguna@MigunaMiguna

There will be no presidential election in Uganda on January 15, 2026. It will be @KagutaMuseveni’s illegal coronation. Ugandan Freedom Fighters should have used @kizzabesigye1’s illegal detention to trigger a revolution which would remove Museveni and his illegitimate cronies from power. Only then can Ugandans exercise their democratic rights to elect a president of their choice.

Daylight impunity! Silence, a nation while its misrulers speak freely, is tyranny’s hallmark Enough! Oppressors never surrender power willingly. History demands we take it. Let's fight on, guard our votes fiercely, & stay one. Soon, we will overcome & reclaim a dignified Uganda.

When you tie ypur opponents "hands" behind their back and put tape across their lips to be the only talking drum. So you shut internet for oublic safety, but the rules do not apply to the family "whatsapp group." Hilarious!

Ballot staffing, voter bribery & intimidation in many parts of the country! The regime’s internet blackout is a desperate move to hide this kind of rigging 😭 Charge your phones NOW, record EVERY irregularity, every bribe, every threat. Your evidence is their main fear

“When the now 81-year-old Museveni came to power in 1986, Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev negotiated nuclear disarmament, in the Philippines Ferdinand Marcos was chased out of office, and the British queen visited China. None of these personalities are still alive today, but Museveni is heading for another term of office – the seventh.” faz.net/aktuell/politi…

Uganda Goes Dark: 3rd Consecutive Election-Time Blackout Begins Ahead of Jan 15 Polls Uganda has ordered an internet shutdown ahead of Jan. 15 polls, its 3rd consecutive election-time digital blackout. In recent years, in a wider African trend, approximately 25% to 40% of competitive or high-stakes elections on the continent have ended with connectivity restrictions or social media blockades. In roughly one out of every three major African elections, governments now use these disruptions as a tool to control the narrative, curb protests, or limit the documentation of electoral fraud. Network outages cost sub-Saharan Africa over $1.6 billion in 2024 alone due to disrupted trade, banking, and communications. (By the way, one of the highest-scoring things I have ever done is predicting election theft and related internet shutdowns in Africa. I have a 101% score. I will never get rich selling the intelligence, though. All potential clients told me, "can't pay for that, too obvious". People no longer value expert insights🤣🤣🤣). #google_vignette" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">monitor.co.ug/#google_vignet

#Uganda: Internet restrictions & suspension of 10 NGOs ahead of elections tomorrow are deeply worrying. Open access to communication & information is key to free & genuine elections. All Ugandans must be able to take part in shaping their future & the future of their country.

Tomorrow, the people of Uganda will go to the polls in what has been an exceptionally challenging election. Authoritarian forces are converging, turning the process into a ritual stripped of genuine democratic choice. We remain convinced that any government that seeks to govern with legitimacy and a solid social contract must secure its mandate from the majority of its people. Bobi Wine and the National Unity Platform are part of the progressive democratic family. In the spirit of solidarity, we wish him and all democratic forces in Uganda the very best. The struggle in Uganda is our struggle. In chaos, courage and conviction: Free Uganda!

I want to wish Bobi Wine @HEBobiwine and all progressive Ugandans the very best in the election taking place in Uganda tomorrow. The Ugandan brutal dictator, General Yoweri Museveni, has cut the internet service and has limited mobile phone services. We all know what it means when dictators cut the internet and limit mobile services. Dictators like the murderous Tanzanian president, Samia Suluhu Hassan, have cut the internet before during elections, but I have never heard of a situation where mobile services are so restricted that people struggle to use their phones for direct calls. We know what that means. They want to, and will rig the election. We also know that the election result is already predetermined. But I salute Bobi Wine for standing strong and for going up against the ruthless General Museveni, even when he knows that the election is predetermined. Bobi Wine has shown a level of courage and determination that we do not see in many opposition leaders across the continent, the ability to fight even when the odds are stacked against him. He has been ridiculed. He has been called a Western puppet by people who also sought Western help when they were in the trenches. He has been called so many derogatory names by people who should know better. All he is trying to do is to make sure that democracy in Uganda becomes part and parcel of how Ugandans live their political lives. So that it becomes a lived reality. Most dictatorships hold elections, but the results are predetermined. And the same thing is going to happen tomorrow. We know that President General Museveni is still going to be president after the rigged election, regardless of how unpopular he is. And this is his seventh term in office. So to Bobi, my brother, I wish you the best. You might not prevail, and we know that you will not, because of the circumstances of this election. But you have sown a seed that others before you, like Dr Kizza Besigye, who remains in jail at Luzira Maximum Prison, planted in the ground. It germinated, and we now have you. And the seed that you have also sown is going to germinate. More Ugandans are going to become politically conscious of the circumstances they live under and of the need for democracy or at least a better governed country. I know that you will be remembered, regardless of whether you ever become President of Uganda or not. You will be remembered for the role that you have played in making sure that your country allows its own citizens to make their own political choice about who governs them, instead of being forced to accept the rule of a corrupt and brutal dictator. It is not what we get today from the work we do today that matters, it is what we do today that will benefit future generations that truly matters. It is also not the insults we are forced to endure today that matter, it is what history will remember about what we did today that truly matters. Democracy is more than just voting. Africans are fighting for the right to live decent lives, for the right to be able to send their children to school, for the right to have good jobs with decent wages, for the right to have reliable electricity, for the right to have clean drinking water, and for the right to have decent healthcare and proper hospital infrastructure. That is what Africans are fighting for. So when we talk about democracy, we are not just talking about casting a ballot. We are talking about the quality of life that our people live every day, whether they can live with dignity, opportunity, and hope. And this is what you have been fighting for, and this is what you continue to fight for. That is why we respect you. Tomorrow they will steal the election, but they will never be able to steal the courage you have planted in the hearts of Ugandans. All the best, my brother. May you have guidance and protection during this difficult and dangerous time.

My thoughts and prayers today are with @HEBobiwine and his fellow patriots as #Uganda goes to the polls. In a genuinely free and fair vote he would undoubtedly win overwhelmingly but my concern is that with the shutting off of the internet by the Museveni regime its intention is to steal the vote. Uganda, like so many other African countries, needs a new start, needs the injection of youthful, democratic vigor. God bless Uganda 🙏
