But in a desire to hold onto power, dictator Museveni's government employed every dirty tactic in the bag of election malpractice and successfully announced the 40year ruling monarch once again as president. It is yet another slap in our faces that we shall not save our country from this poison of corruption and military dictatorship by using an institution[Electoral commission] that has been gagged by Museveni's regime to determine our democracy. We are therefore exercising our democratic right by casting a rose flower 🌹 for the Uganda 🇺🇬 we want. On Monday the 2nd of February, come out in large numbers once more Carry your Rose 🌹 (symbolising your vote and love for the homeland) and a white cloth as a flag 🇺🇬of peace. "Never argue with a fighter to lose a fighter, but rather argue with a fighter to win a fighter". Alright comrades, the election ended, the competition should also end, at least for now. Can we as Change seeking forces get back to the drawing board. A lot is happening and happening under our watch, @HEBobiwine is on the run, all his Deputies are under illegal detention. @kizzabesigye1 is in detention, @mugumyasam can’t be traced etc. The few leaders not in detention are probably overwhelmed and don’t know where to start from! This is the time to focus on our points of convergence and not divergence. Let’s focus on being united and not being divided.

Commander @mkainerugaba has crossed a red line and now the U.S. must reevaluate its security partnership, which includes sanctions, and military cooperation with Uganda. The president's son, and likely successor, cannot just delete tweets and issue hollow apologies. The U.S. will not tolerate this level of instability and recklessness when American personnel, U.S. interests, and innocent lives in the region are at stake.
