@CCardassian @DelusionPosting That's fair, but the argument itself is still true.
English

@APT_ea @DelusionPosting But the Lego games aren’t aiming for the same art style or level of detail.
You’re literally comparing an apple to an orange here.
English

@MapEffects @TheMiddleborne I suppose I'll burn alongside you because I agree completely. Not hating on the original, I just think Maverick had a better plot overall.
English

@TheMiddleborne Top Gun Maverick was far better than the original.
Heresy…I know…and I don’t care.

@monoofjapan @TempResLtd I preordered the blue and yellow vinyl. Are those other colors for other countries?

@Thirteenthsteps @miroyato @BULLETSYMPHONY Of course they do. Why does that matter?
They also use the internet, computer chips, cellular networks, end-to-end encryption and so on.
English

@Thirteenthsteps @miroyato @BULLETSYMPHONY I don't know what to tell you but that's factually incorrect.
English

@Thirteenthsteps @miroyato @BULLETSYMPHONY This is also false. I hate Google but it was developed by two students from Stanford and they got drunk on the money and influence that collecting and selling user data allowed them.
English

@Thirteenthsteps @miroyato @BULLETSYMPHONY The original version of Tor was developed by US Naval Research for secure and anonymous communications for foreign assets, yes.
It has been free and open source for over two decades now.
It's very easy to find this info, by the way.
English

@APT_ea @miroyato @BULLETSYMPHONY Literally zero proof of that.
So you ignore that it was commissioned by the cia to allow foreign assets to report overseas and not blow their cover?
You were allowed to use it because you retards were the cover.
English

@Thirteenthsteps @miroyato @BULLETSYMPHONY Literally zero proof of that.
On the contrary, both have stood the test of time... though, admittedly, Tor hasn't exactly been making the smartest choices as of late. Signal is still on the right track and doing fine, however.
English

@miroyato @BULLETSYMPHONY >signal.
>tor.
Literally asset honeypots.
Lol.
English

@anothercannibal @miroyato @BULLETSYMPHONY The Pirate Bay can be a security risk. Nothing is wrong with Brave, people are just mad that their CEO happens to have opinions they disagree with.
English

@miroyato @BULLETSYMPHONY Can people who know about privacy tell me what is wrong with these programs in the picture
English

@andwreo @miroyato @BULLETSYMPHONY It's perfectly fine for the average person as a daily driver browser. It's not as private as Tor Browser, of course, but it's rock solid otherwise. Also, the comment about their CEO is laughable at best.
English

@miroyato @BULLETSYMPHONY It's not recommended for data safety and privacy anymore, also the CEO is a trash person
English

@harukaawake I mean, I don't expect someone who sells their body online in any capacity to have intelligence or integrity enough to resist this modern obsession with guilt over things other people did generations ago.

@Andrewnsnyder Yep, it definitely happened to me as well! I feel like I can see the bigger picture of God's sovereignty even in the face of all the world's chaos. The more I read Tolkien, the more that is solidified.

A number of you have started following me over the last few days, so here is a fuller introduction:
My academic background is in philosophy and theology with a doctoral dissertation on Kierkegaard, although I have many interests, very much including Tolkien, Lewis, and related subjects.
I teach philosophy and theology with various universities, which is great, but I am primarily interested in carving out a space in the Christian humanities beyond institutional academia.
The @Mythic_Mind Fellowship is currently funded by ~80 patrons, many of whom are actively involved in the community. Through our Discord server and weekly live meetings, we discuss various topics related to literature, philosophy, popular media, and whatever else happens to be on our minds. We are currently running three podcasts: (1) Mythic Mind, which focuses on literature and philosophy, (2) Mythic Mind Games, which discusses video games from a Christian humanities perspective, and (3) Mythic Mind Movies, which does the same regarding movies.
I am also contracted for a book on Tolkien and have many more projects in the pipeline.
On a more personal level, I am husband to my incredible wife and father to our three young children.
Whether you just follow along, listen to the podcasts, or join the Mythic Mind Fellowship and support my work (link below), I welcome you on the road ahead!

@Andrewnsnyder That woman is a whacko, I blocked her long ago and my feed has been better as a result.

This platform is a strange place.
I said its worth critically engaging with a well-known biblical scholar.
Some anon posts about me for a few days in a row.
I take a light-hearted approach to it and somehow I'm the one engaged in effeminate gossip.
