@f_lindblom I like your content but this seems a bit off as a brand ambassador for a spikes company to be pushing this kind of narrative without mentioning the fact that you have an affiliation with them.

Does this look like an “oh no I hooked it” one-handed finish to you guys? I think he expected to look up and see this flirting with the hazard. Got absolutely punched by the wind. Brilliant, gutsy shot. W.

@engineeringolf @InsideTourGolf I have seen a lot of ping fairway woods and hybrids looking like this. Is the club likely to fail when it gets to this point or is it just cosmetic?

This is next level golf nerdery… Bob MacIntyre’s Aeroburner 3W is so worn, you can see the weld line. The cast steel body has worn more than the hardened steel face, clearly exposing where the 2 components were joined. (📷 @InsideTourGolf)

@Mike_kim714 Is there any possibility it was cracked last week? Hit any shots that gave an unexpected result from it or have you been lucky and it’s happened between the masters and just now?

I was getting ready to hit my tee shot on 18 with my 3 wd and noticed a decent sized crack on the face 🤦🏻‍♂️ All the trucks are gone so the rep is trying to get it shipped overnight. My head pro from home is also shipping my back up from my locker. For now, I stole Max Homa’s 4wd which I hit pretty good on the range.

@_KeithCook Professional golfers are insanely good at what they do, what other activity would a governing body actively try to reduce the ability of someone who is the best in the world at something they do and what differentiates them from the normal person?

Agree … but that’s also the rub & frustration with this topic. Do we (golf) continue to worry & obsess about what .1% of the game is doing (even on “classic” courses 1x a year) to a point where bifurcation happens…no matter the trade-offs? Is bifurcation of that .1% even worth it? Is it actually even possible for “governing” bodies (with no actual legal governing power) to levy change on commercial &/or profit entities, who can basically just ignore it if they choose? *For me* I enjoy watching the pro game with the skill, athleticism, speed, & power…like in other sports. I would not change anything. Golf is & has always been different. One set of rules (including equipment) throughout the game is part of its uniqueness. However, IF bifurcation is the path, I hope the bifurcation is kept very minimal & stays to (club) driver size/loft/weight/length … & stays away from poor decisions or core products (like the ball) for 100% of the game, which will have very limited or even no effect on the target .1%.

@5for4fortheskin @thwacknicklaus These guys hitting any clubs ever in existence would not be the same game that you play.

@_KeithCook Or they have hit a drive at a ball speed 15-20mph more than I can or hit a low screaming banana shot around a tree, nipped a little chip shot off a tricky lie to a tucked pin. Using similar equipment as them I can appreciate just how good the shot was that they have hit.

@_KeithCook The thing I like about golf and watching it is that when someone at the top of the game playing their best or hitting an unbelievable shot I can sort of quantify how good the shot was by my abilities. I would have hit x club from that distance they have hit 2, 3 clubs less cont,

@MyGolfSpy Also 66% to 34% isn’t exactly a landslide on a small sample of just over 3000 golfers when there are millions of people who play golf. Take this on another day with a different audience and the result could easily flip the other way.

@MyGolfSpy I have used a mallet for most of the 34 years I have played and never been good inside 6 ft. Turns out I line up a blade with no alignment aid better and I am actually putting better with a blade measured with arccos data from the last few years. Sweeping statements don’t fit all

@ArccosGolf just had a great customer service experience with you today. One of my sensors has failed so I emailed support and was pleasantly surprised at how easy everything has been sorted. I had been putting this off for a few weeks because I thought it would be a hassle. 👍🏻

@engineeringolf @GolfDigest I have them written down on a piece of paper. I tried to get a printout from gapping session on my Mevo+ but the way it is presented makes no sense. I keep the paper in my pouch with my rangefinder and zap the yardage then check my sheet. I know most of the yardages from memory

@engineeringolf @GolfDigest I have 4 wedges & 3 swings with each. Full, 3/4 which is a position I feel I can repeat roughly hand to shoulder height and 1/2 which again is just a position I can repeat and is roughly hip/waist height. I don’t hit 60 full so this gives me 11 yardages I can confidently hit.

How do you handle less-than-full wedges? Clock system? Full, 3/4, and 1/2? Pure feel? Multiple clubs, or just one? Answers will guide the design of my next web tool. Appreciate any input. 🫡 (📷 @GolfDigest)

Pure hand-stamping that includes a classic Crowned Cameron, Circle T and more make this 34-inch 009M (Masterful) SSS a true stunner. Coming soon to Scotty's online gallery, this putter comes with a Tour Only Pistolini Plus grip and a Bright Stick Figure Circle T headcover.

@RamsayGolf I have thought about this before. There are guys in that age group who are still playing really good golf and want to compete but have nowhere to do so because of the way things have gone at the top of the game. It’s almost like a pre seniors tour is needed for the 40+ guys

This is just the reality of golf these days. Average age of tour players is sig younger than when I started, shorter careers, more injuries, distance more integral so gap 45-50 age is to Seniors Is real.
Adam Schupak@AdamSchupak

This starts off as a “where are they now” with Ryan Moore, who played just once in ‘25 after 20 years of keeping his card but took a sudden twist into life on the fringes of the Tour/being in 40-something limbo. Too many quotes to quote! Just read it here: golfweek.usatoday.com/story/sports/g…

That’s a unicorn a lot of zeros in the reading of that swing. Think it’s the first time I have ever done that in all the time I have had a launch monitor. @FlightScopeGolf
