@mathomp_501 Depends what DEN wants from us in a trade. If they dump salary they could take in DJJ and/or Dunn in a trade. We’ll know more when the Kawhi investigation gets done because that’s likely the hold up.

@AMBGotAura To do that they’d have to renounce Mathurin and trade away salary without getting any back to get under the cap enough to pay Rui and offer Watson a contract. They don’t want to do because if DEN does match, now you traded away players and lost Mathurin for nothing.

@JakeSmoltz Everything I was worried about coming into the draft is being exposed here. Je can’t get free because of his lack of athleticism and craftiness so he’s been non existent. If he looks this passive at this level, I can’t imagine what he’ll look like in the NBA.

@k1ngandduck @NBABlackburn Just because someone is wealthy doesn’t mean they would willingly lose money. At the end of the day it’s a business and the objective is to make money. If this team isn’t a title favorite, it makes no sense from a business standpoint to commit that kind of money to it.

@PredsDreads I’d start Mathurin and have Wagler as the first guard off the bench. Even if we re-sign Mathurin I don’t think he’s a long term fit so let him start and get his numbers, then sell high at the deadline. It gives Wagler a chance to develop slower and ramp it up as the season goes.

Yanic is going to miss a few months to start the season and still needs to develop when he returns. Doesn’t have to be Sabonis but we need a better Center than Lopez.

@BonesGotBizzy @APH00PS @NotoriousOHM Why is everyone so down on Sabonis? I get he’s not a great defender but before his injury, in ‘24-‘25 he put up 19p/14r/6a on 59-41-75 shooting. He’s better than Lopez and fill a bigger need on this team than Ingram. He’s one of the best rebounding and passing bigs in the league.

“Denver can’t afford him” no CLIPPERS can’t afford him. Clippers didn’t want to give up picks for Jaylen brown, why would they for Watson? No players on that team are going to justify Denver not paying him regardless if i think the number is absurd. (It is) With that being said, Watson is a Denver Nugget.
