26-year-old Natasha Cochrane De La Rosa, born and raised in north London, is stranded in Spain after a holiday in Amsterdam. The dual British-Spanish national was refused boarding her flight back to the UK because she used her Spanish passport. She was caught out by a new immigration rule requiring dual nationals to enter Britain on a valid British passport. Despite having a British birth certificate and stacks of UK documents, the Home Office says she’s not logged as a citizen. Now stuck in Seville, facing potential job loss and calling it an absolute nightmare. Bureaucratic fail or her own stupidity?

The Trump administration and major airline CEOs are laying the groundwork for a new wave of consolidation. Delta’s CEO said on an earnings call yesterday that the oil crisis could lead to more airline consolidation, and, that as the biggest company in the industry, Delta could benefit. At the same time Trump’s Secretary of Transportation went on TV to say he’s open to airline mergers. The Big Four major carriers already control 80% of the market.
