After three decades as a knee surgeon, I can say this with confidence…. many people are far more limited by the story their MRI report tells them than by the condition of their meniscus or articulation cartilage.

Die größte Langzeit-Studie zu mRNA-Impfungen: 28,7 Millionen Menschen (18-59 Jahre) 4 Jahre Beobachtung. Geimpft vs. Ungeimpft. Gesamtsterblichkeit: Geimpfte sterben 25% seltener (Hazard Ratio 0.75).

●~7900 mothers ●No evidence of association between Tylenol and autism. It seems the larger the study, the less chance of seeing the association. That is a pretty good indicator that there is no real association... pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC64…

Here’s a nice analysis of 2.5M children about Tylenol and autism. The study found a small association between tylenol use in pregnancy and autism, but the association went away in sibling analysis. In sibling analysis you compare children born to the same mother where one child was exposed to Tylenol but not the other. This is a better comparison because genetics are similar between siblings whereas they differ greatly in non siblings from different families. Bottom line: no increased risk of autism with tylenol use in a huge population analysis. jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/…

This study indicates that highly active women, especially those with resistance training experience, can safely engage in heavy-load resistance protocols, including supine exercise, without jeopardising fetal well-being.

@northwoods1980 As a primary care physician I 100% agree. Sadly most don’t want to do the work of physical therapy and want easier solutions. I also wish PT was better covered by insurance as it limits many from utilizing it.

For so many musculoskeletal conditions, to me, it makes so much more sense to bypass primary care and surgical specialties and simply go right to a physical therapist. Does not seem to be a very controversial opinion any longer to me.

@StevenZeitzew @northwoods1980 We are trained to know what’s within our scope (ok to proceed/ treat) v what needs to be referred out. There’s solid evidence supporting our ability to accurately and safely diagnose MSK v not MSK and at a low cost. Can you share your examples of harm done by PT in this role?

Before recommending treatment one must make a correct diagnosis for which that treatment is appropriate. Musculoskeletal symptoms can be the result of a disorder for which PT is harmful, or for which there is an urgent need for a different treatment. MI and Lung Cancer can present as shoulder pain, vascular disease, tumors, and infections commonly cause musculoskeletal symptoms. There are numerous examples illustrating the potential harm of that pathway

10,000 steps a day has long been thought of as the optimal goal for staying fit. New evidence suggests that even 7,000 steps a day decreases mortality risk by 50%.

I’ve been in the exercise oncology field for 20 years and for all of that time, the main criticism has been “show me a well controlled RCT.” Well, here it is. Exercise following adjuvant chemotherapy for colon cancer reduced recurrence and improves OVERALL SURVIVAL! #ASCO25 #ExOnC

Presented at #ASCO25: A 3-year structured exercise program after adjuvant chemotherapy for colon cancer improved disease-free and overall survival, physical functioning, and fitness, as compared with health education alone. Full CHALLENGE phase 3 trial results: nej.md/4mh5RPL @ASCO
