Chester County Man Sentenced to Over Three Years in Prison for Possessing Unregistered Explosive Devices Chester County Detectives executed a state search warrant at Kevin Krebs residence in June 2025 and discovered what appeared to be an improvised explosive device (“IED”), specifically a pipe bomb in a garage there. Bomb technicians determined that it contained nails and screws, which are frequently placed inside IEDs to serve as shrapnel. As the search continued, investigators located a total of six destructive devices and 10 improvised explosive detonators. Investigators also recovered eight one-pound orange plastic containers containing suspected ammonium nitrate and aluminum powder, a binary explosive mixture that forms an ammonium nitrate and aluminum explosive when combined and is classified as a regulated explosive. @USAO_EDPA @FBIPhiladelphia @WCBoroPolice See News Release ⬇️

The changes would: •Streamline identity and residency verification •Extend the validity period of NICS background checks •Clarify background check exceptions •Allow electronic notices, electronic forms, auto-population, and digital attachments These updates modernize the process, reduce administrative burdens on FFLs and law-abiding customers, and align regulations with current law while keeping strong safeguards in place. Indian National Harshpreet Singh, Illegally in U.S., Sentenced to 23 Months in Prison for Unlawful Gun Possession As detailed in court filings, on August 28, 2024, Pa State Police troopers and Bethel Township Police officers responded to a home invasion shooting incident. At the same time, Berks County police dispatch advised officers of a call for a gunshot victim at a nearby gas station. Officers found A.S., charged elsewhere, in a vehicle at the gas pumps with a gunshot wound, with the defendant and a co-defendant also in the vehicle. After A.S. was transported to the hospital, police officers discovered two firearms in a gravel lot across the street. Another firearm was located in the home invasion residence's yard. Philadelphia Man Sentenced to 22 Years in Prison for Robbing a Kensington Pharmacy at Gunpoint Michael Nixon was sentenced to 264 months in prison and five years of supervised release for the gunpoint robbery of a pharmacy in the city’s Kensington section. As proven at trial, Nixon forced a pharmacy employee to access the store’s controlled substances safe and told them to put the narcotics into plastic bags while Nixon repeatedly pointed a firearm at them and urged them to hurry up. Once the defendant had the drugs, he ran to a waiting car. Nearby @PhillyPolice officers observed him flee, and Nixon then led police on a high-speed pursuit through the city ending in a vehicle accident. @USAO_EDPA @PhillyPolice See News Release ⬇️
