@AhmadRehanKhan @ProjectImg @PIMGlatino @SeeFisch @acgme @DrHankChaudhry Her services are appreciated. As a pgy1 that means just outpolled school and 1st year of residency. She works under a pgy2, 3 and an attending physician. She is considered a trainee. If her immigration status is not legal then that is a problem.

𝗔 𝗣𝗛𝗬𝗦𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗔𝗡 𝗗𝗘𝗧𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗗. 𝗪𝗜𝗧𝗛 𝗛𝗘𝗥 𝟱-𝗬𝗘𝗔𝗥-𝗢𝗟𝗗 𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗟𝗗. Dr. Rubeliz Bolívar, a PGY-1 Emergency Medicine resident in South Texas, a physician serving a medically underserved community, was reportedly detained while traveling within the United States, despite having valid work authorization. Let that sink in. A frontline doctor, caring for some of the most vulnerable patients in the country, pulled away from her hospital, separated from her duty, and placed in detention, along with her young daughter. This is not just an immigration issue. This is a public health crisis. Her colleagues describe her as brilliant, dedicated, and deeply committed to her patients. In a region already struggling with physician shortages, her absence is not just a loss, it is a direct hit to patient care. Hundreds of patients rely on her. An already strained system depends on physicians like her. And yet, she is behind bars. If reports are accurate, she presented valid documentation, including a work permit and ongoing legal immigration processes, and was still detained. This raises deeply troubling questions: 🔹 Are we now detaining legally authorized physicians serving underserved America? What message does this send to the entire healthcare workforce, especially IMGs who form the backbone of care in such regions? This cannot be normalized. We call upon: @AmerMedicalAssn @acgme American College of Emergency Physicians Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates …to urgently intervene , advocate for due process, and ensure the immediate release of a physician who is actively serving the American people. 🔹 Healthcare workers are not expendable. 🔹 Underserved communities are not collateral damage. 🔹 Children should never be caught in the crossfire. nytimes.com/2026/04/11/us/… #ReleaseDrBolivar #IMGs #PhysicianShortage #Match2027 #MedTwitter #USCISPause

@KennethChester @ElieJarrougeMD No they are likely afraid of arterial plaque rupture and sinister lawyers. If your CVD risk % put you at interm risk then you need testing like a CAC score to see if a statin is indicated. Per your age, some vaccines are helpful. Saying every PCP is the ‘same’ is a stretch, imho

62-year-old patient comes in for a second opinion. Total cholesterol: 278 mg/dl LDL: 192 mg/dl 😱 His primary doctor panicked and shipped him off to a cardiologist. Cardiologist wants a statin and a plant-based diet. I looked at the full picture and here is what I found… 🧵

I own a duplex. My tenant downstairs is a single mom with a newborn. Rent is due on the 1st. It was the 5th, and I hadn't heard from her. Usually, I send a late notice. It's a business, right? But I went down and knocked instead. She opened the door holding a crying baby. She looked like she hadn't slept in a week. "I'm so sorry," she panicked. "My maternity leave was unpaid and my car broke down. I have $200. I can get the rest by Friday." I looked around her apartment. It was bare. She had sold her couch. "Keep the $200," I said. "In fact, don't worry about rent this month." She stopped crying and stared at me. "What?" "Take the month," I said. "Buy groceries. Fix the car. We'll start fresh next month." I lost $1,200 that day. But the look of pure relief on that mother's face? Worth every single penny. A lease is a contract, but humanity should always be the fine print.

If there is any humanity left, this must be seen. These Afghan girls are only 5+9 years old, sold for $2,000 and forced into marriage with elderly men. This is not culture, it is child slavery. They want books, school, safe future, not marriage. This humanitarian crisis— CNN 2021

Another young black life lost—19-year-old Dacara Thompson murdered in Lanham by 35-year-old illegal immigrant Hugo Hernandez-Mendez. And what does the media do? NOTHING. Total silence, unless you’re watching Fox. Where is BLM now? Where is the outrage from the black community? A young black woman was killed, but since it doesn’t fit their narrative, nobody cares. This is exactly why I don’t take BLM seriously—it’s all political theater. If a white cop had been involved, they’d be marching in the streets. But when an illegal immigrant kills a black teen, suddenly nobody wants to talk. Hypocrisy at its finest.

Yall gotta help me understand this one. This beautiful Black girl names DaCara Thompson was brutally raped and murdered and thrown off a bridge by an illegal alien from Guatemala. Not one muthafuckin word from Black Lives Matter. Not one muthafuckin word from Jasmine Crockett. Not one muthafuckin word from Joy Reid. Not one muthafuckin word from the NAACP. Not one muthafuckin word from THE VIEW. And not one muthafuckin word from all yall white KUMBAYA liberals. But yall can cry over a muthafuckin terrorist getting shot for tryna run ove an ICE agent? OH HELL NO! DaCara Thompson was 19 years old. If she voted last year she definitely voted for Kamala Harris. The same Kamala Harris who was the muthafuckin border czar that let her murderer into the country! So yall I need to know: WHERE THE FUCK YALL AT WHEN BLACK WOMEN ARE BEING SLAUGHTERED BY ILLEGALS? This shit aint right.

Born on this day, 14.01.1961; Robert (Rob) Hall, climber from New Zealand, who scaled Everest five times (1990, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1996), Lhotse and K2 in 1994, Cho Oyu twice (1994, 1995), and Makalu in 1995. He completed the Seven Summits (Kosciuszko version) in 1990 and the (Carstensz version) in 1994. He died on descent from Everest in 1996, aged 35. Born on January 14, 1961, Rob Hall became one of the most influential figures in modern high-altitude mountaineering. Known for his calm leadership and meticulous approach, Hall helped redefine Himalayan guiding during a period when commercial expeditions were still finding their ethical and logistical boundaries. As co-founder of Adventure Consultants, he set benchmark for preparation, discipline, and decision-making at extreme altitude. Hall’s mountaineering résumé reflected both ambition and depth. Between 1990 and 1996, he stood on Everest’s summit five times, an extraordinary achievement for the era. His climbs extended well beyond Everest: K2 and Lhotse in 1994, Makalu in 1995, and repeated ascents of Cho Oyu. Completing both the Kosciuszko and Carstensz Pyramid versions of the Seven Summits placed him among a very small group of climbers to have mastered both interpretations of the challenge in that time. In May 1996, Hall returned to Everest to guide clients on what would be his fifth successful ascent of the mountain. On May 10, after reaching the summit late in the day with client Doug Hansen, deteriorating weather and delays trapped them high on the mountain. As a powerful storm engulfed the upper slopes, Hall became stranded near the South Summit, above 8,700 meters, in brutal cold and violent winds. Throughout the night and into the following day, Hall maintained radio contact, offering clear instructions and calm reassurance to others despite his own worsening condition. Rescue attempts were made, but the combination of altitude, weather, and exhaustion made any effective intervention impossible. Rob Hall died on Everest during the descent on May 11, 1996, just hours after yet another successful summit. His legacy remains as a defining chapter in Himalayan history. Rob Hall is remembered not only for the peaks he climbed, but for the standards he set—professionalism, responsibility, and respect for the mountain’s boundaries. Photo ©: Adventure Consultants.
