Türkiye As a Resources Pirate Turkish vessels are prospecting and drilling for oil in Somali waters. This is exceptionally alarming as the entire affair is illegal. President Erdogan and his people know that the so-called defense and petroleum agreements between Türkiye and Somalia are fraudulent. The Somali Parliament has yet to see the texts of the two ‘agreements.’ Despite knowing these facts, the Turkish leadership has decided to ignore them and proceed with the exploration. This behavior and actions make Türkiye resources pirates. No amount of masquerading will alter the facts as well as Ankara’s guilt in conniving with an illegitimate and derelict Regime in Mogadishu. Second, and equally troubling, is the use of Türkiye military resources by Villa Somalia to shore up the sinfully corrupt dictatorship in Mogadishu whose tenure ends in less than a month. Ankara has found solace in silence, but the Somali people will not forget Türkiye’s great deception. The Somali people fondly remember the kindness of the Turkish people at the hour of their need a decade and half ago, but it now appears that the Ankara government’s stealth agenda was a cover for its lust to create a neo-colony in the Horn of Africa.  But Somalis will liberate their country, to paraphrase the lyrics of Bob Marely, et.al : youtube.com/watch?v=yxmsZX…

@MukhtarAlaska Soomali galbeed seems to have no say (esp. when IOG would want issa lands there), and lastly Egypt is the biggest bottleneck of them all. They would rather war than allow Ethiopia control both the Nile (through GERD) and the red sea through Bab-el Mandeb. Doesn't sound feasible.

According to claims surrounding the recent meeting in Djibouti attendedby President Ismai Omar of Djibouti, PM Abiy Ahmed of Ethiopia and President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud of Somalia , the proposal centered on a significant withdrawal and reconfiguration of borders across the Horn of Africa involving the three countries. Under the suggested arrangement, Djibouti would transform into a fully Somali state by incorporating territories from Diridawa, Sitti, Harawo, Djibouti city and Awdal region of Somalia effectively bringing together all Issa and Gadabuursi regions under new Djibouti state. Ethiopia, in turn would gain control of the Afar regions currently within Djibouti which is 80% of total landmass of Djibouti, thereby securing direct access to the Red Sea and Afar communities in Djibouti will reunite their Afar brothers in Ethiopia. Additionally, the entire Somali state of Ethiopia would be transferred to Somali republic, potentially reshaping political, ethnic, and economic dynamics across the region in a profound and lasting solution.

#SecurityAlert IS-Somalia makes strong revival to threat Somalia and abroad Well-informed intelligence sources have confirmed to Wargelin Analytica that at least seven of the most senior leaders of IS-Somalia remain present in the areas where military operations were previously conducted, particularly in the Al Miskaad mountain range. Intelligence obtained from within IS-Somalia indicates that the group is actively undergoing internal reorganization, particularly with regard to its fighters.
