@HillcrestCardCo This is also a manner thats very much formulated for doing mental math not solving it by paper and by step. The old was was memorization of everything up to 10s then follow the written steps. The new method has a different set of steps and is more focused on rapid mental math.

Americans think they can homeschool their kids even though they have no number sense and thus get completely confused by elementary math. The fact that you don't understand elementary math anymore shows the weakness of educating children through rote memorization.

Most other things I did anyways because it was easy enough to have a trash pocket. In some areas I saw bottle drop offs near the vending machines and I used those when I could.

@constans Alot of those places are now allowing toast or something and just charge $.50/$1 extra a transaction which fine w/e.

@constans It tends to be a bit higher than that like 2.5% I find, the main time I really understand it is when a buisness does alot of small transactions like an icecream shop or something where the additional fee for such a small transaction applies.

A business which just says that they charge an extra 2% for credit card transactions gets the point across— everyone hates credit card fees and likes tax evasion. There’s no reason to dress it up in self righteous fancy talk.

@frugaloutdoor @catgirlprostate Because alot of the problems with teaching is discipline of the disruptors which is highly regulated and out of their hands. Even the course work that must be covered is highly regulated and their is often limited power in the teachers.

My sister is doing a 3 year degree in early years education to become qualified to be a teacher for under 12s Obviously part of that is managing a class of dozens of kids, but it is years of actual work to be qualified and these parents sure as hell aren't doing it to homeschool
