I lived in Seattle back in the 80's during the time that Bill Gates was rumored to be looking to get married. The ongoing joke at that time was: Would you marry him for all that money? "NO!" or how about Would you marry him if someone had a nuke and was going to use it unless you said yes? To save the world? The answer was always "No. Not for anything." I miss those days. Folks had better character "radar." He is and always was a psychopath.

Humanity’s only hope is to take back the economy [the means of production and technology] from the billionaires and put it directly in the hands of the people. That is the only way to ensure decisions around AI are made to benefit all of humanity instead of a handful of rich billionaires.

If capitalism truly rewarded skill or intelligence, the richest people would be neurosurgeons, engineers, and scientists. If it rewarded talent, it would be artists, writers, and creators. If it rewarded hard work, it would be cleaners, laborers, and service workers. But it’s none of them.
