Democratic Socialists like @aoc and @NYCMayor do not believe what Democratic Socialist countries throughout the world do. In fact it’s a stupid name for the party. They aren’t socialists. They believe in social democracy similar to Norway, Denmark, Finland and Iceland. These countries are capitalists. They just realize that income disparity can’t keep getting greater without society helping those who can’t afford healthcare, childcare and retirement. They should rename themselves “social democrats.”

I will tell this story again: We ran a project with working class women in 2019-2020 near Scranton Pa. Those women related to Trump and Biden. They genuinely didn't even understand the language of other Dems running for Pres (oligarchs anyone?). They thought Dems sounded like elites who looked down on them. The folks that scoff at this video tell on themselves that they are in elite bubbles.

Who is the “you” in this sentence? I am focused on beating Republicans in swing states and districts - pretty juiced for Pulido in Texas, Conley in NY17 and Lacore in SC1. As far as we can tell from available accounts and footage, nothing stopped them from turning around and leaving the way they came. The area was believed to require permission to enter, and Khanna’s group had not coordinated with the IDF, the Israeli police, or anyone else that anyone has been able to find who might have facilitated a U.S. congressman’s visit to the area. Within about 20 minutes—this, according to the account by Khanna’s own team—an IDF patrol arrived and asked them to wait for the police. Police arrived roughly 30 minutes later—again, according to Khanna’s own team. In other words, the congressman, after refusing to coordinate his visit, was delayed for about an hour before being allowed to enter the area in question. But if you listen to Khanna, it was “an unprecedented, illegal detention of Americans by a foreign country.” Could there still be some damning evidence out there that will back up the substance of Khanna’s claims of violence, threats, and “detention”? Of course there could. But it’s been quite a few days now. No such footage has emerged.
