UCSATP Implementation Retreat 2026:
The Uganda Climate Smart Agricultural Transformation Project @UCSATP is hosting a 3-day Implementation Retreat from 2nd – 4th January 2026 at Nile Resort Hotel, Kampala.
The retreat provides a platform to review implementation progress for the first two quarters, assess performance across all project components, and strengthen coordination among implementing agencies, districts, and development partners.
Key focus areas include:
• Review of progress against the Project Development Objective and Results Framework
• Assessment of achievements, challenges, risks, and bottlenecks
• Review of fiduciary, procurement, and environmental and social safeguards
• Coordination across climate-smart crop, livestock, fisheries, and infrastructure value chains
• Agreement on priority actions and timelines to accelerate project delivery
Over the three days, participants will engage in deep technical discussions across value chains (crops, livestock, fisheries, beneficial insects), infrastructure, procurement, finance, safeguards, M&E, and coordination, all aimed at accelerating delivery of climate-smart agricultural outcomes.
Together, we are strengthening collaboration to drive resilient, inclusive, and sustainable agriculture for Uganda 🇺🇬

@AnitahAmong Hon. Rhoda, a lady of substance deserved to to be celebrated and appreciated, we are not sad, but very proud of her and we should keep her flag flying
Uganda 🇺🇬 English

It is with a heavy heart that I received the news of the passing of our mother, mentor, and trailblazer for women in leadership, Mama Rhoda Kalema. Through her boldness and determination, she opened the doors of Parliament to women leaders, mentored many notable female leaders, and made tremendous contributions to our legislative process as a member of the Legislature and cabinet over the years.
On behalf of @Parliament_Ug and myself, I extend my sincere condolences to H.E. President @KagutaMuseveni, the Kingdom of Buganda, Mama Rhoda's family and friends, and the nation at large during this sad moment. May her memories continue to inspire us to serve our country better, and may her gentle soul rest in eternal peace.
