Some people that witnessed his barbarism, who had initially supported and participated in his colonization efforts, became so disgusted by Columbus's behavior that they also published accounts of his atrocities and began advocating for the rights of Indigenous populations. In particular, a contemporaneous Pope, and many other lesser Catholic figures, condemned Columbus explicitly, viewing his behaviors as grave offenses against G-d. My brother in Christ lmao. Season 1 was covering the East Blue Saga (sans Loguetown). This is like the beginning of One Piece. Outside of the introduction of the Fish-men, all of the humans were (for the most part) normal looking, and the outfits were simple. That's mainly the reason why the aesthetic was like that in the first place for season 1. There was no way it was going to mesh well once they got into the Grand Line because this was when Oda decided to say fuck and full-send it with the character designs, outfits and anatomy. It screams theater. For fucks sake one of the earliest characters, Gaimon (who was cut from season 1 because they only appeared in one chapter and episode between Orange Town and Syrup Village) is a dude who spent decades stuck inside a treasure chest. And that's BEFORE we even get into the New World lmao.

I posted about the 46 children who ended their lives following the puberty blocker ban in the United Kingdom. Some of the responses I received were from people blaming the parents. To those people I want to say something and I want to say it clearly. I hope your children are transgender. I hope your grandchildren are transgender. I hope your brothers and sisters have transgender kids. I hope there is a transgender person somewhere in your family close enough that you cannot look away. I do not say this to hurt you. I say it because it is the only education that seems to reach people like you. Not statistics. Not the names of 46 dead children. Not science. Not grief. Personal proximity. Transgender people are full of life and love and every quality that makes us human. They are not a tragedy. They are not a cautionary tale. They are people. When you meet one in your own family you will discover that. Some of you will discover it too late. Only around one percent of the population is transgender so the odds are not in my favour here. But I hold out hope. Not as a curse. As a wish. That you might one day sit across a table from someone you love who is transgender and remember what you wrote in a comment section about 46 dead children. Remember what you said about their parents. Then sit with that. I wish you all the best. I genuinely do. I know two people who were gender critical one of them had a transgender kid some years later after their hate campaign and they cannot forgive themselves and another lady I know who has a niece who is transgender and they realised all the hurting pain. They caused other people and they changed their mind and they started advocating for transgender people. I hope that’s your path too. Maybe one day you might act human enough to understand what I’m saying. But until then. You’re a cruelness kills. Your hate campaign kills children. Your rage towards people you will never even try and understand ends lives and makes families and miserable. So yes, I hope your kids are transgender. They will still be the greatest gift to your life that you ever had. But you might just think differently.

@daniellismore I was initially supportive when my daughter came out as trans. After 3 days of looking into it, I do not and never will affirm. It's harmful nonsense and I hope she grows out of it as she gains confidence in herself - which I help to give. We have a very loving relationship.

I have a Canadian friend who is now an internal medicine doctor. He tried to get into med school in Canada - was rejected not because of grades but because he's a white male - so he went abroad. He then did his residency in Miami. He returned to Canada and applied to be a doctor in his home country. Was rejected. He was just hired by a huge hospital outside of Boston where he'll make triple the salary. His wife said when she gets pregnant, they'll have their baby in the US. And this is how brain drain happens. Canada does not nurture/protect its talent. This is why the country is bleeding intelligent/successful people - and they're relocating to America en masse.

During development, some 2D visual props were created as part of early-stage iteration using experimental AI generative tools. These assets helped us rapidly explore tone and atmosphere in the earlier phases of production. However, our intention has always been for any such assets to be replaced, following final work and review by our art and development teams, with work that aligned with our quality standards and creative direction. Following reports from our community, we have identified that some of these assets were unintentionally included in the final release. This is not in line with our internal standards, and we take full responsibility for it. We also acknowledge that we should have clearly disclosed our use of AI. While these tools were primarily used during early production, with the expectation that these assets would be replaced prior to release, we recognize that this does not excuse the lack of transparency. We sincerely apologize for these oversights. We are currently conducting a comprehensive audit of all in-game assets and are taking steps to replace any affected content.
