Being alive is what counts, Mr. Ribs. Everything else is 2nd in line or further back.

@higdonmarathon I wish you would remind us once a week. I’m old and although I have been successful at it, great sensible care of the entire body is way more important Thanks for this

@higdonmarathon One reason I tell others to follow a Higdon plan is that you don’t hurt anybody. Keep doing what you do

@robeson80476 Thank you. I have philosophical differences with Elon Musk. I drive a Tesla too. But he is a strong part of a direction for us that is dangerous

One cause of running injuries is the stress caused by the literally thousands of times your feet hit the ground when you run. Swimming, cross-country skiing, cycling, and walking do not generate this ground impact. Cross-training has its purposes. #RunWithHal

Charles Schwab, found just 21% of boomers with at least $1 million in investable assets “want the next generation to enjoy my money while I’m alive.” That compares with 53% of millennials and 44% of Gen X Americans with assets in the same range. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…?

@DonPJenn One other thing. The lines you cited were the only way he could end the poem. The rhyme scheme went AABA, BBCB, and so on, so he had to end it somehow, and he did it with DDDD

Today @coopmavs had a great suggestion to get lunch at Stachowski's Market in DC. Same concept as Jimmy's except less groceriers and more of a straight butcher shop with a sandwich counter. Their meatball sub is the biggest sandwich I've ever seen in my life and I definitely didn't finish it lol. Not sure this photo does it justice. The Peloton tabata class was really needed this afternoon 😀🚴‍♂ The tray of meats to sample included linguica and a smoked kielbasa and the latter was phenomenal. Always fun when you can have a Cheerwine soda with a meal too!

@unummagnumtotum We read the play in high school and the teacher helped us to see how prejudice against the Jews is a longstanding issue. I didn’t know that in high school and it stuck with me

Just finished reading "The Merchant of Venice" by Shakespeare. The essay at the back is a piece putrid puritanism apologizing for the ugly moments of the play that are so problematic to some undefined "us." So stunted and disappointing a display.

@unummagnumtotum Been thinking about your recent reading of Cicero's letters. Were they easier to read than his speeches? In Latin III we read the speeches. Long, winding sentences and difficult. I know it's easier for you. What are your thoughts?

@sblaskovich We are visiting family in NY. I'll be the turkey man. Years ago when our kids were little, we would choose a good Dallas hotel and dine there. Hotels are a great deal for a holiday dinner. They have to be open, but they have few guests, so they offer a good menu.

I’ve been in or around politics for over a half-century now. I’ve watched as corporations and the super-rich flooded D.C. with campaign cash and ransacked our system. It won't be easy, but here’s how we break the corporate oligarchy and return power to the people.
