There’s been a lot of conversation about speed cameras on Broad Street. Here’s what matters. Speeding kills. And Broad Street has seen too much of it. This isn’t about revenue. It’s about saving lives and delivering on Vision Zero. Zero traffic deaths. Vision Zero is built on community input and shared responsibility. Safety has to be the standard everywhere, including how we think about fairness across speed zones. Philadelphia’s Deputy Managing Director for @PhillyOTIS, Mike Carroll, breaks it down in this video. #OnePhilly means safer streets for everyone.

today @GovKathyHochul is finally acting to fund NYC transit, so today would also be a great day for @GovernorShapiro to step in and save SEPTA and the entire Philly region from a transit death spiral

Mass transit is a lifeline for Pennsylvanians, but Senate Republicans still refused a deal to fund SEPTA. Now, the Governor may be able to "flex" federal funds to help plug the gap in SEPTA’s budget. I believe we should use any power we have to avoid fare hikes and service cuts.
