Dear @Mark_J_Harper There is only one "blanket 20mph limit" local authority in the whole of the UK and its in the City of Westminster covering all their roads, including the 'A' road outside Houses of Parliament. Put there by Conservatives to protect MP and government staff.

We were saddened by the release of the DfT casualty data today, which confirmed that 29,742 people were killed or seriously injured in crashes on Britain’s roads in 2022 alone.
We must address this public health issue immediately.

Today I passed a little girl out cycling with her dad.
I asked her did she want to race & she took off and beat me to the nearest telephone pole.

Here's what I don't get.
All Labour has to do is say they'll shut down on their first day in office all new oil and gas projects that were greenlit between 1 August 2023 and the GE, and no firm will touch the available licences with a barge pole.
It's really that simple.

@ActiveTravelCre cycle path that runs from underwood lane past the bottom of Ashmuir close. It’s been logged a couple of times but still not been cut back. School holidays and kids can’t use the path on their bikes

Great news for us motorists ,there is going to be a review of this ridiculous 20mph speed limit which is being rolled out across the country. Travelling in at 4.30 in the morning as I do every Saturday with nothing on the road is quite ridiculous, particularly on a main road like Finchley Road. Is there a chance that we will be asked what we think ? I doubt it.

And domestic gas has 1/4th the carbon footprint of imports
