#f2irpi7 I'm getting some weird vibes from the mother here at #morganfalls. Is this what other humans are like? I just want to go back home to Josie and figure all this out.
@MeopleSC This got me thinking about how the dessert probably got its name from the other definition of the word trifle, that is something of little importance. The recipe is made up of flexible steps which don't matter much individually.
#f2irpi3 A1:
Dang that trifle looks good - it's like, perfectly edible, but it's not like a wife spent 24/7 intricately placing each piece of fruit on the dessert to please her husband. Imagine that: admiring imperfection.
@blumkd That doll-like nature is a really cool factor that Medusa and the coin operated boy share. You could also interpret the line about experience with girls to mean the CO Boy/Medusa doesn't have a good track record with girls, or an ironic way of reflecting on Medusa's-
#f2irpi2b To me the song, makes me think an almost reversed of Medusa. Medusa is the coin operated boy and does everything she is told to do by Athena, until she doesn't and Medusa is thrown away. I think this reflects in the line "he may not be real experienced with girls"
@crosscrpi That's a very interesting idea, I didn't think about that link between them. The singer seems to be very happy with her "coin operated boy" on paper, but she also seems to resent his lack of personality and human-ness.

A2: The song reminds me of "I Dream of Jeannie" as both Jeannie and Tony are changed by each other, and even as they both think of the other as perfect, they can't seem to except each other's differences and are forced to imagine the other in their preferred fantasy.
#f2irpi2b The coin-operated boy is like a reverse of the Lady in the bottle. Both the boy and the genie were destined to live lives of servitude for their respective masters.
#f2irpi2a The woman in the video could be associated with Medusa, and the lamp switching off could represent her beauty vanishing when she angered Athena.
@Adam13300941 What part of Ireland are you from, I am a dual citizen as well! My mom is from Gael in Tipperary, and my dad is just outside of Derry in Donegal.
#f2irpi1 A1: What's up f2i! My name is Adam and I'm from New Hampshire. I'm majoring in compsci, and a fun fact about me is that I have dual citizenship in the US and Ireland!
