@wilsoem534 the luck part of describing everything is so interesting, like no one could comprehend the fact that the impossible does happen, and when someone points it out they outright cant believe it, makes ya wonder how much luck is used to describe things that people dont want out there

@excelsior373 honestly that is what i found to be the most disturbing over throughout the book, was how even do you have 2 dehumanize someone to murder them, they way the wives were dehumanized was disgusting, they were forced to stay at home not speak to others, and just act like good workers

@ymhrip @cccjayrpi @DresdenDolls @amandapalmer Perseus seems to act like this perfect partner, someone who obliges without question, however like the real coin boy both will end up showing their flaws or lashing back in any way they can. At the end of the day it was all for the fantasy of the other partner not reality.

He is told to go on a mission to retrieve the head of Medusa which he knows is a death sentence, he obliged anyway.

@Albertrrrrrrr To add onto this Hillary Clinton was demonized by Trump, and many of his supporters, yet when or if Hillary/her supporters used similar imagery (or even the same!) the reaction from media and from the general public was totally different.

#f2irpi2b I see a connection between Hillary Clinton being a coin operated boy, but in a less than pleasant way. The media is able to portray her however they want, in this case as a severed head, and it is also no secret that the media is 'coin operated'.

#f2irpi2b A2: The song reminds me of "I Dream of Jeannie" as both Jeannie and Tony are changed by each other, and even as they both think of the other as perfect, they can't seem to except each other's differences and are forced to imagine the other in their preferred fantasy.

@ColinWa91262133 Like you said, Medusa was made out to be evil by the world around her, those who wanted to control or use her for their own advantage. Killing her for glory or for political reasons. It was not her doing that she became a monster, and it is warning about how the world is cold.

#f2irpi2a A1 The light turning off can be connected to Medusa's entire life crumbling down in the myth. The whole world betrayed her and treated her like a monster, which can be symbolized by the light turning off, and her once bright life becoming darker.

@josselinnea19 @cccjayrpi I believe that your idea of how in My Living Doll the eyes are piercing is very interesting. It is funny how the eyes are such an important thing to how we express ourselves and it makes you wonder do you take something away by replacing someones eyes?

@cccjayrpi #f2irpi2a The woman’s blank expression in this gif reminds me of the same emotionless expression the girl robot had in the episode “My Living Doll”. Both express a lack of life in the woman’s eyes. Similarly, like in the article about Medusa, this woman’s stare is very piercing.

#f2irpi2a A1: The way the light turns off seems to show that darkness of having no soul or light in your life, be it taken away like in bionic woman or be it originally not there like in My Living Doll. It goes back to that idea in Bionic Woman, when is a person a person?
