Could it be that voters associate culture war shit as the policies they want the party to moderate on, you know, since that’s the only difference between the two. If you’re going to try and be a political commentator, at least maybe be more than a surface level reader of the issues.

45% of democrats wanted the party to moderate after the 2024 election vs 29% who wanted the party to move left. 22% said stay the same.
Pragmatism is accepting when your politics are not representative of the larger coalition, not demanding the party cater to you exclusively.
