@jowyang When you have to have meetings to follow up on meetings, eventually you start to spend 10% “Doing” and 90% “Discussing”. Five minute follow up calls work well. 15 min meetings work well. The goal is not to hold meetings. It’s to get work done.

Methods to reduce meetings: -Shift to email -15 min calls instead of longer -Send videos or voice memos -No meeting days (Friday), protect cal. -What else? Agreed that video meetings are key for forging new relationships and rekindling relationships.

@jowyang Shifting to email doesn’t work because it creates an extended meeting over days and more work. Have an agenda. Start on time even if not everyone is there. Last five mins to recap and ID next actions.
