In a weird twist of events agent payments have resurrected payments channels. This is exciting because we spent an ungodly amount of time on these in the history of @StellarOrg.

Another MPP feature: sessions. Sessions are an implementation of state channels (!) and allow an agent to stream payments at the speed of packets and then settle onchain in a single transaction, i.e. you’re not limited to the speed of the blockchain. Tempo has and will have best-in-class transactions per second but sessions mean that we can scale payments for agents an order of magnitude more…today.

Numbers every @StellarOrg anchor should know:
60-80% - KYC drop-off rate
$1.35 - cost per check including failures
100+ - anchors making users re-verify from scratch
The pieces exist.
Nobody connected them.
Now we do

@tomerweller @StellarEmir Are you sure those numbers aren't over inflated the same way token counts were when you double spent the whole network on 10/10

@StellarOrg @DrBones67 Didn't you give a grant to lumen loop to do that?

tracking MAD (monthly active developers) in an ecosystem is harder than it sounds.
repos are scattered. contributions happen across different orgs. people build in public, in private repos, in hackathons, in experiments that never get announced.
and as the @StellarOrg Ambassador program becomes more global and new builders join every week, measuring real developer activity becomes even more challenging.
so I am experimenting with something new inside Stellar Passport:
public builder profiles.
once a user connects their Passport account with Github and Discord, they can create a public builder page that dynamically shows their contributions to the ecosystem, projects, repos, commits, activity, and languages.
the goal is simple:
make it easier for builders to show what they’re building, and easier for the ecosystem to see who is actively contributing.
think of it as a lightweight developer reputation layer for Stellar.
here’s an early WIP preview 👇
beta testers will be able to start trying this later this week as we continue expanding the Passport testing marathon.
