@lochan_twt The physics make having a data center in space impractical and inefficient… a waste of time and resources that could be used for exploration here on Earth

Thanks for all the input, what we'll do going forward for Codex updates
- Tue: Quality and polish
- Thu: Big launches (starting this Thu)
- Fri: Fun stuff, little extra
Tibo@thsottiaux
For Codex, we’ve been thinking about keeping a stable release cadence and have a larger release each week on Thursday. That does make the start of the week and bit less exciting. Thoughts?

@ConnieThingstad @RealDonKeith She is a Doctor... the same way a woman who is married becomes a Mrs... its not hard to understand.
English

@RealDonKeith Dr Biden? She’s not a dr. She has a doctoral degree in education I believe

@SourabhGurwani Both countries use all of those LLMs... unless your supposition was that they are locally developed in those countries.

@RoundtableSpace This is just the new meme era---think about Vine and the viral 16 second videos... lol

@mweinbach This will likely be the place we either see people rejecting the platform, or a shift to support more web-first app design. Cross platform is good but, I don't see a need for niche Android-first developed apps in 2026 & beyond.

What makes me concerned about Googlebook is your apps like Codex (post likely super app rebrand) and Claude Cowork can’t run
Electron apps are where most apps seem to be at and they don’t work. Android just doesn’t support it. Maybe codex because rust if you do a new front end but still
Blowing up mobile apps still run into mobile app limitations

@GA_rover_guy @Codie_Sanchez Lowers costs have always been a business driver--until their Board of Directors decided they 100% only want American or local workers, if its cheaper to offshore, they will.
English

@ProgenticEngine @Codie_Sanchez Somehow it’s ok to offshore to India but not ok to hire a remote guy in Indiana.

If you're barely going to read the AI-generated code (big "if"), does the language even matter? Would you choose Python if that was the case? Or a more performant and readable language? I wonder.

@khushiirl I would say just stylistic preference---and Claude has a lot of nannyisms that frustrate developers as they get into a coding groove.

@badlogicgames That's fine. You are entitled to your opinions. This is just social media, you don't have to interact with anyone if you don't want to.
English

@ProgenticEngine it's hilarious if i'm being roped in with the luddites :D
based on the em dashes and emojis in your tweet, there's absolutely zero reason to keep engaging with your slop.

recommended reading. strongly recommended reading.
i really like the pain avoidance angle. slots into my "paon/friction is when you learn" angle. when combined > cognitive debt.

@badlogicgames I am positive there were people crying about losing navigation skills or ability to manually row/steer a boat to a “contraption”. There has been and will always be technology naysayers. Everyone is entitled to their position—you can still code projects by hand ⌨️

@ProgenticEngine i don't remember steam engines being known for taking over decisions from their operators. but sure, very smart.
