The video is from inside a Tesla (clear steering wheel logo, dashboard, and screen layout). Waymo uses Jaguar I-Pace vehicles with completely different interiors—no match.
It's not legit Waymo footage. The clip itself was uploaded today (no earlier versions found), so very recent. Looks like routine highway driving in a sunny, palm-tree area with normal traffic flow.
@simoncgallagher@OctopusEnergy@g__j One very short-term solution if you’re still in this bind is to temporarily disable smart charging in the vehicle’s settings, within the octopus app. I may have need to resort to this once in almost four years of Intelligent Octopus Go.
How do I bump change my car @OctopusEnergy? The app has changed. I can’t seem to set the target and departure time now in the app, and the ‘bump’ button does nothing. But I need to charge my car now!
I have tried over riding in the BMW app.

I never knew video editing was so dangerous. I think I need a new mouse, any recommendations to replace my @Apple Magic Mouse? Ideally something designed for a Mac because I use those touch gestures all of the time. Or maybe I just need mouse lessons.
@HannahEDaly What does the new home battery setup look like? Just under 20kWh should work wonders for home use. Do you know what charge/discharge rate you’ll get from it in kW?
My 10-year old Nissan Leaf, from the first generation of EVs, has had a new battery and a new lease of life.
The old battery will have a nice retirement, powering and heating my home with clean and cheap electricity.
Battery technology is a game changer in so many ways.
@iammark40@MartinSLewis We fill our house batteries during the cheap rate, and then sell back what we didn’t use the following evening, for twice the price.
@MartinSLewis Ev tariffs are nonsense. Cheaper rates between midnight and 7am when the only things being powered are things on standby. Oh and maybe an alarm clock.
It's time to rename the energy Price Cap, the energy Pants Cap. No one, who's capable of switching, should be on it right now. You can either
- Fix at 9% less than the Cap
- Get a discounted tariff (ie price cap but cheaper)
- Get a special EV tariff
- Sophisticated users can go for Octopus Agile/tracker tariffs with rapid price moves
All smash the Price / Pants cap. clubs.moneysavingexpert.com/cheapenergyclub
@AdamDoran@OctopusEnergy@BottlecapDave Hi Adam, I’m a fan of HA and Dave and I are often in touch. But I’m afraid it's not something we currently have plans for at the moment.
Why would we switch off turbines on a windy day when you could be using that lovely green electricity for free?
We're genuinely happy to've given away £500,000 #FreeElectricity – powering millions of cuppas, washes, fresh bakes and hoovering sessions.
@CivicLilly1@janrosenow You’re welcome. I think one of the systems is called GSE, and the other is Veridian. It also means you won’t need bird mesh protection to keep the birds out.
We installed solar on our roof two years ago. It pays for itself and the installation took 1.5 days.
The potential for rooftop solar in the UK is still vast: 95% of UK homes still don't have solar missing out on cheap and clean electricity.
Myenergi app user… I’d like your feedback … what feature would you like adding to the app? What do you love about our app, what could be improved ?…. Go … thank you, love you, bye.
@KateFantom We replaced our petrol lawnmower with a 36V Stanley model a couple of years ago, and it’s brilliant. Even better that the batteries are usually charged with #solar power.
I don’t want to say ‘middle-aged, white man’, but I’m definitely seeing a trend in the bullshido and absolute lack of knowledge when it comes to net zero.
Ok, let’s fact this out.
The particular mower, a 36v Ebauer will run for 80 mins on a full charge and consume 360Wh/0.36kWh in the process. At today’s cost of 33p/kWh it would cost 11.88p.
On that particular day the grid intensity was very low, and despite what Lee said, Ratcliff doesn’t run on gas, only coal and coal mix.
The emissions for his area were 99g CO2/kWh, so if he used the full battery, he’d have emitted 35g/CO2.
The most fuel efficient B&S push along mower will burn approx 1.66 litres of fuel for the same time, (I’ve under quoted this as the figures are tricky to pin down)
Burning 1 litre of petrol produces approx 2.3kg of CO2, so the B&S mower would emit 2.875kg for the 80 minutes and a host of other emissions. PM, CO, NOx, SO2 to name a few. (In his street)
comcar.co.uk/emissions/co2l…
The cost in petrol based on a 5hp B&S mower of 1.25l/hour would have been £2.39 for the 80 mins.
Emissions
33g for electric
2875g for petrol
Energy use
0.36kWh for electric
16.6kWh for petrol
This chap has absolutely no idea what he’s talking about. If he can’t square away the basic figures of a lawn mower, what else do you think he’s going to struggle with.
Think about it 🤔
@LeeAndersonMP_ your welcome 😘
@CivicLilly1@janrosenow At that point, you would be better replacing the tiles with an in-roof solar panel system, with tiles around the panels. It’s been often said this is cheaper than the cost of replacing the existing tiles, and looks quite smart.
@janrosenow The only people I know personally who have managed to get it installed in this area, had their roofs re-tiled first, removing the original slate tiles and replacing them with some kind of cast material. Many have said they are waiting for those combo tiles/PV to become available.
@philcarr7@MartinSLewis Of course you can’t - email addresses are based on a domain name, which can only be owned/operated by one company at a time. Don’t use an email address provided by your ISP, or you’re stuck with them.
@MartinSLewis But can you transfer your email address - like your phone number. I have tons of accounts using email address and it would be a major pain switching. (Unless I’m missing something !)
150Mb fibre broadband from £14/mth (most paying double for half the speed)... switching to smaller 'alt-nets' now much easier too as Ofcom's introduced one-touch switching. Full update & best-buys... #broadband" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">moneysavingexpert.com/latesttip/#bro…
@Bedda86@plumbers_urban When replacing your roof, simply go with an in-roof solar system, which is supposed to be on par with the cost of a conventional roof, if not cheaper.
@plumbers_urban can i assume you've gone solar to offset the extra electricity you will use? what cost was it, did you use a grant if so care to share, i've been wanting for move forward to solar for years but single income its hard to save for, plus the roof needs replacing next year.
@MFJ_tweets@o_burbidge Our installer was happy to file the G99 paperwork when we upgraded to the 5kW inverter, and our DNO approved quickly. It was a straight swap, and I sold the original on eBay.
If doing again, I would probably opt for an additional inverter.
@o_burbidge Don’t compromise on the G99 - you’ll regret it. We started with a 3.6kW hybrid inverter, and upgraded within 18 months (that also bought us a higher battery charge/discharge rate).
@BottlecapDave@OctopusEnergy Thinking about it, @OctopusEnergy will have some work to do in terms of how they represent the price for these events - it’s not 0p/kWh really - just those over your typical usage.
The grid's looking mighty green tomorrow... 💚
So you know that that means - another #FreeElectricity session for Octoplus customers 🤑
📅 Sun 18th Aug, 1-2pm
Any extra power you use above your norm will be totally free.
