🎉March 11 is officially “Dr. Dave Chokshi Day” in NYC!🎉 Today @NYCMayor issued a proclamation honoring @NYCHealthCommr for his leadership during the pandemic and his dedication to protecting and improving the health of all New Yorkers. Congratulations, Dr. Chokshi! 👏👏👏

It’s such a joy to be training as a primary care doctor at a community health center where ~70% of patients speak Spanish This is the kind of healthcare access I wish my Latino community had when I was a kid Slowly but surely, we’re going to make this a reality for everyone ✊🏽

Despite high insurance coverage rates, individuals diagnosed with #cancer in Massachusetts experienced increases in medical debt, with those having bladder and colorectal cancer facing additional increases. ja.ma/3UKRUxb @NishantUppal7

Millions of older adults in America who are extremely destitute qualify for a public benefit called Medicare Savings Programs. Trump's tax law will make it more difficult for these people — again, the poorest of the poor — to get these subsidies. statnews.com/2025/07/28/med…

CBO projects that House reconciliation bill will cause 1.38 million low-income Medicare beneficiaries to lose Medicaid coverage. We estimate that this will lead to over 18,000 avoidable deaths/year stemming from loss of LIS. Link to memo led by @PennLDI: bit.ly/4mwfcDA

The updated reconciliation language doubles down on the bill’s Marketplace cuts by ending “silver loading” for the 2026 plan year. This would greatly increase many Marketplace enrollees’ premiums, compounding increases due to expiration of enhanced tax credits.

Many Vets enrolling in Medicare Advantage get zero care paid by plans. MA insurers argue that vets get extra benefits (vision + dental). But in new @JAMA_current study, we find that this claim is NOT actually the truth. @AdamLBeckman @HarvardChanSPH jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/…
