@StPauliGrrrl @RiotFest Saw them last month in Brooklyn, was really fun.

@StPauliGrrrl i unironically look forward to your state fair content every year, particularly the crop art. 👏 bravo

@EmilyCWaldon That replay has hurt the game, and the idea of “getting every call and play called perfectly” has poisoned the inherent human element built into baseball.

@foodandwine how do you eat your grilled cheese? with your hands? *scoff*

@FixCircle @DavidZipper I’m not a tourist. I work in the city and lived here for 20+ years. I often forego Indego- which I used often prior & would again- for SEPTA, due entirely to cost.

This chart should embarrass city leaders.
It's absurd to charge 5-10x more for a bikeshare trip than a transit ride.

@Marc_Normandin Let me know if they play The Calypso.
Seeing full band in October in Philly, pretty psyched.

@SpikeEskin Looking forward to your thoughts on Spaghetti Incident in the top 10

#84 - Snoop Dogg - Doggystyle
Heard it before? Yes
Favorite Tracks: Who Am I?, Murder Was The Case, The Shiznit
Thoughts: I remember specifically when and where I bought this. It was on the ground floor location of The Wall in the Granite Run Mall (they had two in there). It came out the same day as the Guns N' Roses waste of time "The Spaghetti Incident," and I bought them both.
As a quick aside, I do miss memories like this. The build up of excitement for a release, going to the store and getting it, and bringing it home and listening to it for the first time.
I also specifically miss the excitement of getting the first album from a guy who had been hyped on a few features previous to his first full length (Mase was this way too).
This album did not disappoint, and holds up great. It also features the necessary number of interludes like a proper 1990s rap album, though they're largely included in the track rather than a separate track.
It didn't sound like anything else that came out at the time, and yet it fit right in. Rap seems to have a disproportionate number of acts who crush in their first two albums and don't ever live up to it. I don't think anything Snoop ever released came close to this. It's a testament to its greatness that he's largely still a cultural icon because of this album alone.

#93 - Solange - A Seat At The Table
Heard it before? No
Favorite tracks: Cranes In The Sky, Don't Touch My Hair, Weary
Thoughts: What a nice surprise this album was. I don't know what I expected, as I've heard the name Solange but have never listened. The album felt to me like if Thom Yorke recorded an R&B album.
There's a very thin line (for me) between music being weird enough to be interesting, and being too weird. This album was interesting and weird enough to be interesting but also had enough structure and familiar enough as well. I enjoyed this quite a bit.

Wow, 21 years ago, @RachaelRay spent $40 A Day in Philadelphia (Season 1, Episode 24) - you can barely get a lunch for that much these days. Heh! This is a fun yet bittersweet watch as many restaurants featured are closed. youtu.be/JniRyI2OgGw?si… via @YouTube

@mwteller Don’t see a maxey Lavine backcourt surviving defensively and playing all 3 together is likely too small. So Lavine becomes an expensive 6man against the best teams. Would prob be more interested in Ingram tbh and trading picks for Caruso desperately
English

LaVine and Caruso for #16 and the 2026 pick from LAC. Leaves the Sixers with ~$10M in cap space and the room exception to add a starting PF and some bench depth. Probably not as flashy as we all hoped but a worthwhile swing imo

@ThreestixBobby @KyleMosca1 @BillSimmons Right, or people who listen to Bill Simmons constantly, relentlessly trying to speak an Embiid trade demand into existence for *checks notes* 5 years running.
Aint happenin’
