The event focused on the strength of collaboration between the United States and Ireland and its role in driving investment, job creation, and economic growth across multiple states, including Kentucky. During a panel discussion, Watts shared how Irish companies are investing in Kentucky, strengthening local economies and supporting workforce development across the Commonwealth. The event featured Ireland's Prime Minister @MichealMartinTD, @USAmbIreland Edward Walsh, @IrelandAmbUSA Geraldine Byrne Nason, and leadership from Amazon and Enterprise Ireland, and highlighted how partnerships between the countries drive business growth, with companies like Amazon helping connect that investment to states like Kentucky.

She also emphasized the importance of collaboration between local elected officials and chambers of commerce, noting that strong partnerships are essential to driving progress at both the state and local levels.

The U.S. Supreme Court on Friday ruled 6-3 that the president does not have authority under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) to impose sweeping global tariffs, invalidating a major portion of the tariffs implemented over the past year.
