Netflix LIED about their approach at theatrical? Dan Lin, Chairman of Netflix Film, says they do not want to work with directors that still want a theatrical window. That will leave bad taste in people's mouths, including directors that want a theatrical window. Also, bad timing with what's happening at the box office currently. Quentin Tarantino has had choice words about where the film industry is right now, yet, still works with Netflix. Roger Avary kinda called him out about it on here. Does Dan Lin's words in that article give us an indication on why we haven't heard any greenlights for Zack Snyder? Zack has 3 movies now to be released that are not with Netflix and will get theatrical releases...

First of all, Superman is not a 'difficult' character to write for. Secondly Zack Snyder fundamentally 'reinvented' the character that has had a very negative impact on the character's reception along with various other media of him going full 'evil'. Superman never needed to be 'deconstructed' or 'reinvented' for the times; his values of moral good and compassion may seem outdated to the cynic but, forever timeless in a world that needs kindness and empathy more than ever. Gotta love how this knucklehead has to keep spouting the tickets sold bs meanwhile it holds no weight to the films' overall quality when it's been received more negatively over time. Anyone that claims that he is 'borning' is just flat out illiterate on the character and has never read Superman Birthright, For all seasons, All Star, or Whats so funny about truth justice and the American way. Also that 'clark made that choice' assumption makes no sense meanwhile the entire film had him in a trolly car situation forcing him to 'choose' while giving him the illusion of control and free will. It's such bad wiring. Zack Snyder shouldn't have touched this character and infused with antithetical Ayn Randian objectivist nihilistic garbage that is just a complete 180 of the character's morals and values of hope and altruism. And what does that mean at the end? 13 More years of Man of Steel, saying that will not make the Snyderverse come back any sooner. Dude should just admit he hated Gunn's iteration (which he has been backhandedly saying for months now after presumingly 'liking it').
