Who wants to know all the tips and tricks I picked up from Mamaw to treat laundry stains? 🙋🏼‍♀️ 👉🏼Tide laundry detergent. I don’t know what they put in there - but it works. 👉🏼Treat stains ASAP. 👉🏼Mamaw treated stains on colored clothes with a paste of baking soda and water, scrubbed it into a stain in all directions, and let it sit for a few hours before washing. It works! But I’ve found it works even better if you switch the water for Dawn dish detergent. It’s a miracle worker on grease stains! 👉🏼Pit stains? Peroxide and Dawn are your new best friends. 👉🏼Stains on white fabric? Vinegar or lemon juice. 👉🏼Stain still visible after a wash? Don’t dry it! Start the treatment process over and try again. 👉🏼Yellowing whites? Hang them in the sun to dry! The sun literally bleaches your fabric and it’s less harsh than liquid bleach. You’re welcome! ❤️

@MargoinWNC @SloanRachmuth Because a huge percentage of that budget goes to administrative roles. When you have a position with a competitive salary, it's more possible that better prospective employees apply. When the salary is low, only people who has no chance in other fields apply.

Over half the North Carolina state budget goes to EDUCATION. Half or more of most county property taxes in North Carolina counties goes to EDUCATION. For more than half your taxes, don't you think North Carolina should be above the National Average in 4th Grade and 8th Grade testing?

@Shannon77683528 @kacombs68 @mattvanswol I'm agree with you, but, trust me, the purchasing power for teachers here in NC has decreased considerably because the surge in prices of the last five years. In part for inflation, but most of it because a ton of people has moved to the Carolinas.

Purchasing power is the key - some of the lowest paid teachers have the greatest purchasing power in Oklahoma, Idaho, West Virginia and South Dakota.

HOLY CRAP!!! Nearly 2,000 teachers in Charlotte NC have requested TO LEAVE WORK to "protest" on May 1st. At least 7 ENTIRE SCHOOL DISTRICTS have cancelled classes so that teachers can protest next Friday, including 2 of the 4 largest school districts in the state. "The school system cannot provide adequate supervision of students due to the volume of leave requests that have been submitted..." WHAT ARE WE EVEN DOING HERE?!!!!!! HOW IS THIS LEGAL?!!!

Had a fun day today. 2 weeks ago an Indian (US Citizen) IT employee called ICE on his own department because he heard that many of them were here on fake H1-B Visas. 25 employees were arrested out of 100ish. He was correct. After talking to his leadership he also informed them that many here legally,but we're hired under false pretenses, because they had bought diplomas in India and never really got a degree. At this point management was worried they had been defrauded so they called me up to help them figure it out. We ran all of the remaining employees hiring paperwork through some AI analytics today. Massive amounts of documents. This included reading copies of diplomas, and and a ton of other personal documents. Training the AI analytics tool to look for irregularities in past work experience and education history. As an example: 1.) Check to see if the school exists 2.) Check to see if the person who signed the diploma actually worked at the university 3.) check to see if the degree listed is actually taught at that university 4.) ETC ETC ETC. We found that of the remaining 75 H1-b employees 50 of them had provided fake diplomas to either our company directly, or the contracting company they were hired through. So out of this one department of 250 people, 100 ish were from India here on visas, and 75 of them had defrauded the company during the hiring process. Either providing fake visa paperwork or falsification of education. Basically 75% lied. Not sure what they are going to do about it yet, as across the IT organization they have 1500 ish H1-B visa employees and they cannot fire 75% of them right now even if they wanted to, but I do know they are running all current visa employees records through the tool, any new applicants as well, and will be firing anyone who lied as soon as they get replacement in line for them. From the leadership I was working with: "We have to remove them, we cannot keep employees who defraud the company even if they are good and cheap"

@educator4ever36 And other several countries in Europe. Ps. It's true that autism is the "new dyslexia from the 80's - 90's", it's widely over diagnosed. But it's also true that there are so much more kids that are under the spectrum compared to the same decades.
