It’s my understanding that a misleading question is sneakier than a leading question. It tries to trick or confuse the witness so they give a wrong or false answer. It often contains a false assumption or twists the facts to mess with the witnesses’ memory or to make them doubt themselves or make them answer a certain way allowing impeachment.

HOLY CRAP!!! Nearly 2,000 teachers in Charlotte NC have requested TO LEAVE WORK to "protest" on May 1st. At least 7 ENTIRE SCHOOL DISTRICTS have cancelled classes so that teachers can protest next Friday, including 2 of the 4 largest school districts in the state. The "yes" vote has won Va's redistricting referendum — but the legal fight is just beginning. Four Va Constitutional challenges are now teed up: THREE challenges to the amendment process itself: 1️⃣ First passage was invalid. The amendment was taken up during a special session convened in 2024 for budget purposes. The General Assembly's own call to the Governor (under Art. IV, §6 and Art. V, §5) and its governing resolution (HJR 6001) limited the session's scope. Expanding it to include a constitutional amendment on redistricting required a two-thirds vote that never occurred. A Tazewell County judge found this action "void, ab initio." 2️⃣ Art. XII, §1 requires that after first passage, a proposed amendment be "referred to the General Assembly at its first regular session held after the next general election of members of the House of Delegates." An election must intervene between first and second passage. Here, first passage occurred during an election cycle — not before an intervening one. 3️⃣ Art. XII, §1 requires the amendment be submitted to voters "not sooner than ninety days after final passage by the General Assembly." The timeline from second passage to the April 21 vote did not satisfy this requirement. Plus ONE challenge to the proposed maps: 4️⃣ Art. II, §6 requires that "every electoral district shall be composed of contiguous and compact territory." The proposed congressional maps violate this contiguity requirement (rather badly). Next stop, court. Stay tuned.

You should also watch the video of this same judge berating a female attorney, cursing and telling the deputy to remove her from his courtroom. It was shameful. The other video of the juror shows the judge shaming him, threatening him with jail and shaming him in front of the other jurors.

Oh yeah. Forgot to tell ya'll this judge sent the cops out to the home of a juror in the trial he's currently overseeing when the juror called in sick (there were two alternates). He then brought the rest of the jury out and told them the missing juror "didn't feel like coming in today" and he would also have the other jurors arrested if they tried to do the same thing. When the sick juror arrived, the judge questioned him in open court.

RE: Data Republican I am a huge Data Republican (small r) (“DR”) fan. I know many of you are as well. But I’m not sure everyone fully understands the sheer bravery, brilliance and audacity of this deaf every-woman. You see, the government you elect is not what actually governs you. For every area of government (no matter how specialized or arcane), there are powerful lobbying groups, think-tanks, non-governmental organizations ("NGOs"), specialized media outlets, university-sponsored centers and other ostensibly "independent" organizations that act and behave as an unaccountable form of government outside the reaches of the electoral process. While these organizations claim to act in the public interest, each and everyone of them is a self-serving oligarchy that is designed solely to promote the interests of those on the inside--genuine public interest be damned. This is America of course, and freedom of speech and freedom of association are fundamental to our freedoms. However, over many decades, these organizations have found “legal” ways to obtain trillions of your taxpayer dollars in the form of “grants” for “studies,” “policy symposiums” and all manner of other taxpayer-funded activities designed specifically to circumvent the policies the American people VOTED FOR and to perpetuate policies and activities that the average American has explicitly rejected. I was listening to CNN morning news during Trump’s first term while getting ready for my day. I heard a female reporter say, “It’s not just our job to report the news, but also to interpret it for the listener.” I don’t need my news chewed up and spit out for me. I want unbiased reporting so I can make up my own mind. Why don’t you use AI to analyze your headlines, banners, and questions posed to the administration for bias? You might be surprised at yourselves—but I doubt it.
